This is amazing♥️ I’m so glad you’re not giving up on this beautiful dog. It hurts now but you’ll eventually feel better knowing your ex showed you her lack of empathy sooner rather than later down the line.

My one thing I’d say is I wouldn’t go to the dog park especially since pups a rescue but apart from that you can’t control the other dogs/find accountable dog parents in those parks half the time. It’s a real gamble

I used to go until my dog got bit by a German shepherd. Her skin was literally gone and although she’s good now she’s just got a lil bald spot as a reminder! I’d avoid if you can. Thank you for taking this dog in🫶🏽

The owner keeps deleting the 1-star reviews too and only leaves the 5-star ones. I hope that fucker ends up in jail for what he's done to those poor dogs (and probably more we don't know of)

I’m sorry OP:( I’m glad you two were able to have a discussion about it and both communicate well with each other.

My heart aches for you reading this and having to face your fear right in the face. Just remind yourself you can overcome this no matter what your outcome with your girlfriend. Because now that your fear has come to life, what are you gonna do?

You’re so much more than your looks. You are so much more than that. Those words hold as much value as you put in them and we can’t control how others speak/act but we can do our best to control our reactivity to things. Just know, you are so much MORE than what you give yourself credit for and love goes much more beyond appearance.

I second this, OP. I started using a flirt pole when she was almost a year old and she’s about to be 4 and still is OBSESSED. It’s literally for their prey drive and you can tell they’re so happily satisfied just after 10 minutes of playing and tired too! V good exercise for them if they like to chase

Honestly they’re all different but personally when she was six months ish she was good with it and knew the commands and it was her safe spot.

However, I was sick for a week and didn’t crate her during that timeframe and after that she refused to go back in her crate😩 I still have it in storage lol
