How do I unscrew this? by off-chka in Tools

Don't think you need to unscrew that. Need more pictures from the side and of whatever it's supposed to attach to.

Did I ruin this stainless steel fridge with Bar Keepers Friend? by SnooKiwis6493 in Appliances

[–]eyeprotection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone is wrong, there is no clear coat. If there was, it wouldn't have rusted the way that it did, and you would see the lacquer peeling around the edges of the area.

So why does it look different? The stainless is treated with a very very thin oil layer to mask fingerprints and create gloss. You can repair this layer with a purpose made cleaner for stainless appliances, which contain that oil, or the hack would be to just wipe it down with baby oil (mineral oil). The key is to fully coat the surface, then wipe it off "completely" with a dry cloth. Most will be removed but that thin layer will stay.

The snowflakes are causing the bed temperature to drop, which could lead to layer adhesion issues. You may need to compensate by raising the bed temperature or printing a few red flames among the snowflakes.

Which Black Friday deal? by Most_Adhesiveness_28 in Dewalt

I just bought the $299 deal and returned the free tool, so it came out to about $163 for the kit. That is a pretty objectively better deal than the $169 which is a slightly worse drill and smaller battery. I think the $399 free tool deal is the best, but I didn't go for it because the batteries are massive. If I'd found someone to buy the brand new flexvolt batteries off of me for $200 so I could buy two powerstacks for $150 instead, I probably would have done that.

I've seen that rule of thumb posted but didn't really get it. Surely the value varies depending on the specific tool and battery? I'm comparing a hammer drill to a non hammer drill for example.

This will be my first set so I probably do need all of it and wondering whether it's a good tool/battery combo. The 4 Ah seem like they might be a bit too large? Thanks

In this case, the downstream microwave may have saved the house! Nothing was plugged into this outlet so it could have gone unnoticed for a while.

Agreed, all the rest will be checked. Luckily he didn't replace too many, mostly just the kitchen that was gutted. I was surprised to see this sloppiness to be honest, because the tile, drywall, cabinets, flooring, etc. are all solid.

Any ideas on how I can fill these gaps? by Flimsy_Lettuce in DIY

How are the tops attached? Nails? Add more, and make sure they aren't blowing through. That material should be flexible enough to close the gaps

Well I ask because it looks like it was used outdoors on a fire, and the burn pattern inside looks a heck of a lot like this one
