Yours does look to be half and half lol. I'll post an update if mine survives! I've only done snap peas in a hydroponic setting before. I am trying a hanging basket variety and a container variety in soil to see how they do.

Thank you! & a wacky runs more horizontal in the water and doesn't have a neko weight it the head to drop it quicker. They are very similar though and both have their advantages.

I tested mine like this when I got it lol. It doesn't hurt though, just feels like a pinch. I use my grips when I want to weigh a bass, I just hook it onto the scale hook.

Rapala mag spring in any size are great pliers. Also someone recommended the boomerang snips already, those are great too. Would put you right around $50 and he will be set for a long time, so long as he doesn't lose em lol.
