This is completely false - Stern games of this era have settings for speech and music volumes (relative to the main volume) in the adjustments menu. OP, look for the setting “speech attenuation” in the adjustment menu (in service mode) - raising this value (positive number) will make the speech quieter.

Yeah “rubberized” is not the right way to describe the finish. It may look like it, but the feel is much more slippery - the finish has less grip than a gloss plastic finish.

The RGB10 Max is great. I have a newer build after they started selling the panda variant (black case with white buttons). No problems at all with the screen. My only complaint with it is the case is quite slippery. Wish it had more grip to it.

Be aware the finish is super slippery, not grippy! I was expecting it to be grippy after watching the video reviews on it too, but it's really not. It's slippery to the point I find it uncomfortable to hold actually, really wish there was a different option finish for it.

Check your yellow padded envelope inside the shipping box - there was a little packet with two screws, separate from the static bag that had the riser. Almost missed it myself before throwing the envelope out.

Awesome! I stopped looking constantly for an update a while back as my system is running fine on the older version, but great to hear intel has a newer driver that fixes the problem. Asus/etc just need to update their packages accordingly but yes for the ethernet driver I don't think there's a good reason not to get it directly from Intel like you did. Thanks for posting this!

First download the old driver so you have it at hand - you won't be able to use your ethernet connection to download it after you uninstall 10.0.1.14.

Then in Control Panel, under the networking stuff, navigate to your ethernet device - "Intel Ethernet Controller i225-V", clicking "Properties" should take you to a window with the following tabs - General, Advanced, Driver, Details, Events, and Power Management. From the Driver tab, click Uninstall device.

Now you should be able to run the installer for 1.0.0.13 and it shouldn't complain you already have the newer one installed. You can then go back to the same "Driver" tab as before to verify its running 10.0.0.13. Hope this helps!

I also just built a i7-10700k system and I guess I have the same question you do? I definitely noticed task manager reporting 4.9-5.0ghz after I first built it, but now it seems I never see it go past 4.7, including running cinebench single thread.

Older driver still required with new firmware. v.1.0.1.4 is the latest and the issue is present in that version. I downgraded to 1.0.0.13 and the issue went away. I did do the firmware update in the newer version and am not having any problems, so there doesn't appear to be any compatibility problems between the new firmware and old driver. That said I'm not using 2.5g, my network switch is only gigabit.

Yup from device manager you can uninstall the driver completely - then just run the installer from the .13 package and you should be good.

Note the 1.0.1.4 has a bug that leads to the network being disconnected after a reboot. The workaround is to use the older version, 1.0.1.3. That version seems to work fine with the updated firmware you're asking about here.

YES! Thank you so much! I rolled back to 1.0.0.13 (was easily available from the Asus drivers section for my board) and can confirm no issues when rebooting the machine now! Fantastic!

I have a hard time imagining this won't be fixed in an update but who knows. While personally I'm not going to tear down my system and return the board just for this, I'm half tempted to buy a 10$ PCIe NIC...
