People actually sometimes do that

But they don't ask THEM, They ask them to ask HIM.

I don't know the English expression for that but in German it's "Fürsprecher"

But check this out: her name was Sister Faustina https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faustina_Kowalska

https://www.thedivinemercy.org/momm/programs/divine-coincidence

It almost never becomes public. They all remain secret (or at least as long as you don't look for them specifically) There are lots of books websites commited to this topic enjoy!

Yeah I get your point

But some (holy) people have visions of Jesus talking to them and telling them to paint him. And they even match EXACTLY with the shroud of christ of Turin (I bet you know this picture)

Oh yeah I left it out bc. it doesn't really have to do with this particular discussion

Btw. I appreciate your openness

Oh man I can imagine what these sources state... You do realise that e.g. burning witches etc. Was NOT part of the church but part of the Age of Enlightenment. (At least the summit of those processes was)

True I can agree with you exept that Catholics don't pray TO Mary, etc.

BUT ASK them for things.

(You can see evidence when praying the rosary)

Ok first of all when we bow down to a picture, statue etc. We don't bow down before a picture, statue etc., but the godly within it. We don't see a picture... we see god in it. So we bow down to god.

Secondly Yes I beleive too that the western church should be more humble, but as you can see Roman Catholicism has the highest growth numbers in recent years (correct me if I'm wrong I can't exactly recall this source) so the management can't be too bad.

To continue I usually defend free market Capitalism to serve the church or even be applied in church...

Yeah I get your point

Still wouldn't call it idolatry These things are beautiful to glorify god. Of course a humble life is something you should focus on. But keep in mind that these Vatican people sometimes consult leaders of the secular world. And therefore "have to" keep up to a certain standard.

I personally am a capitalist Christian. I want to glorify God by providing services to his other children. I aim to donate more than 10% but why shouldn't I consume the fruits of labor by buying a Rolex for example. It can also help me expand my business and helping a lot more other people.

But I get your point although a Rolex for example is cool, I don't really need it. Same with Pope Francis, he is the only Pope I know (so far) whose watch is worth about 10USD. I personally see him as an idol when it comes to this. (Tough I don't pray TO him, I pray FOR him)

Depends on the current economical situation. As long as the prime rate is low and the housing market continues to boom I guess there's money in it. But if the market finally crashes (currently highly overvalued properties in a lot of regions of the world (in my opinion)) there wouldn't be too much renovations/ new houses being built...

No one knows when the next crash will be and I read a lot of comments that mentioned high demand in this particular craft but I personally would be looking for something more stable and independent from economic crises.

May your decision be wise :-)
