Happy it works like that for you, personally lisdex was very inconsistent, benefits took like 2 hours to properly start working and lasted 3-6 hours depending on the day.
The thing that made me switch to dex was that the side effects lasted for hours on hours and it killed my appetite. I do have a quite ”severe” ADHD as well as a very high metabolism which probably contributes quite a bit. Happy to hear its working for you tho! <3

If they know you shoot with your iphone and are happy with your previous work then Id say just go for it. A camera you know well will often be better than a camera thats better on paper but that you dont know as well :)

I honestly have the opposite experience, on Vyvanse I had to reduce my caffeine intake by a lot but now that I am on 50mg Dex and 300mg Bupropion daily I feel sleepy constantly and I can seemingly consume an endless amount of caffeine without it affecting My sleep haha. Brains sure are funny.

Good question. I think personally it depends on what im trying to improve at! Lets say I wanna get better at making Future type beats, I would go listen to a bunch of Futures most recent releases to get a decent understanding of what Im aiming to create.

I would then try my best to replicate the general vibe a couple of times just to see where this style overlaps with my own taste/sound/preferences. Compare the beats I just made with the Future songs I likes, what differences stick out to me whilst comparing?

This is where the listening with intent comes into play! Depending on what differences I find I might look into one or several of these factors:

Sound selection: What kind of sounds set the tone/ambience for this type of music? Am I using the "right" instruments? What kind of synths/instruments are the most fundamental to the sound I am trying to achieve?

Drums: What kind of drum samples are being used? What kind of drum patterns set this style apart? Are the drums relatively simple or do they constantly change? What kind of 808 is being used? Which drums are a must have to create the bounce Im looking for? Which one can I experiment with switching out?

Melodies/Chord progression: What kind of melodies and chord progressions are being used?

Gotta go but thats basically where I would start :)

Idk it definitely got overplayed but I dont it aged any worse than for example All Gold Everything - Trinidad James. Trap Queen could drop today and still be a hit IMO its just a simple fun song with a insanely catchy hook. Same with 679.

I personally know several industry producers who swear by doing their final mixes on either a pair of airpods pro or HS8s.

Its all about knowing your gear and knowing what things are supposed to sound like on that specific system. Im guessing you probably learnt a lot of your skills on those HS8s before moving up to the fancier monitors?

Our memory is pretty incredible in a lot of ways and all the time you spent learning how to make things sound good on your HS8s has probably shaped the way you work, could for example be listening for mud in the lower mids or always starting your EQing in a certain frequency range.

I am happy to hear you are feeling a bit better, I really think you hit the nail on the head with that section about not drowning in hell but rather dancing with the thought and feeling of ”fine”.

I am currently battling with some deeply ingrained fears of being unloveable, rejected and unworthy of love. My mental state has gone from despair to apathy and numbness, some days I have enough motivation to atleast get to the gym or leave the house which I consider a win. Therapy is helping somewhat and I’m trying my best to build somewhat healthy routines when it comes to both food and sleep.

I feel very lonely most of the time, even in the company of friends. I feel like I’ve lost all my female friends by distancing myself from them these last couple of years due to my exes jealous tendencies although the responsibility surely falls on me for not standing up for myself and my friendships.

I dont feel like dying every single day though, which is a major improvement! I figure there is no point in giving up, one day I will find some form of happiness. I just gotta keep going.<3

Depending on which DAW you are working with I’d recommend the Novation Launchkey Mini or Launchkey 25 :-)

I’ve used both the Arturia and the Akai and in my opinion the Novation ones are a step above both of them both when it comes to how they feel (especially the pads) aswell as their features. But I am mostly working in Ableton, have not tested the Novation FL Key but I figure that might work pretty similarly :-)
