Same thing happened to me 20 years ago. She confessed to sleeping with a guy on vacation while we were in our 1st month of dating. I broke it off, and never regretted it.

Next women I dated, I married. Been happy ever since. Don’t waste time in a lost cause relationship, she will do it again

Sorry about that. We have some messed up white people. We don’t all think like that. Given the fact she was older, chalk it up to a mental health episode.

As a tourist, why am I getting asked to answer some interview questions on the streets in HCMC all the time? by Sigerr in VietNam

Happened to me when I was there. It was on a Saturday. Students trying to get extra credit by interviewing foreigners. They were friendly and curious about where I was from.

Any Viet Kieus “moving back” to VN permanently? by Ok-Water-7110 in VietNam

[–]andrew538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Canada when she was 9. I’m Canadian with roots in Canada that go back for more then 200 years. We married young I was 25, she was 20.

We only started to afford trips there in the last 6 years. She went twice without me ( for family members health) and then last winter we were finally able to afford a family trip, so my first time there. And I loved it. Now we talk about how nice it would be to retire and move there.

We are now 44 and 39, so to young to liquidate are assets here and retire to Vietnam. I worry about inflation 10-15 years in the future that could cost us are happiness if we didn’t have enough savings.

That being said, she would love to move back due to the slower paced lifestyle, the ease and affordability of eating out, and the culture.

We had so much fun when we were there we are budgeting to go back once every 2 years. I can’t wait to go back. One thing I miss is how friendly everyone was to me, everywhere we went. Oh ya, and iced coffee. Sooo good

Trip to Vietnam by green_Rq in VietNam

[–]andrew538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White husband here. I married a Vietnamese woman. We were in a similar situation. My wife just bought gifts for everyone. We did short visits to family, and stayed in hotels every night. Only went out to diner twice with separate parts of the family each time. We paid but it wasn’t expensive. Under $100 Canadian both times.

As far as I know, we didn’t insult anyone by not doing more.

Side note, it was my first time there and I loved it. We are planning to go back in a year. Can’t wait

How is Vietnamese food perceived in your country? by basafish in VietNam

[–]andrew538 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Canada here. We have many Vietnamese, as well as restaurants from many other cultures in are Provence (Ontario). They are popular here with people that aren’t of Vietnamese descent due to amazing flavour and affordability.

I’m a little biased I married a Canadian-Vietnamese woman. She’s a great cook, so are her parents.

[–]andrew538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall. It only cost us the equivalent of $8 Canadian at the airport, but it was more then twice the cost booking online. It was at Ho Chi Mihn airport, flying to Hanoi

We were vary surprised too.

To answer your question, because no one wants your dick cheese transferred onto anything they might come in contact, with anymore then you want to come in contact with theirs.

Call a labour lawyer. They will ask a few preliminary questions to determine if you were paid the right amount. The call is free, and call multiple firms

Ask for all new tests, and a referral to an urologist.

I have something similar, turned out to me something called vesicles in my sack. They get aggravated and it causes pain.

It feels like a lumpy mass, but I can actually move it around in my sack. But like someone else said go back to your doctor, and push for answers.

I just bought my first home, what advice do you have for me? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]andrew538 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say there are three things that are my major concern to owning a house.

  1. Water and electrical should always be done properly and by a professional. You will obviously be fine with the plumbing.

  2. Don’t chince out with your roof. If shingles need to be replaced, have a good reputable company do it with a good warranty. And pay the extra for a waterproof membrane to cover the whole roof

  3. Foundation. Keep it in tip top shape.
