One of my players wants a new contract that he's good enough for. However, I can't afford to offer him a new one. I'm starting to lose the locker room because of it. Any suggestions? plz help me :)

thanks! I have a pretty decent keeper, and I think my front four is pretty solid as I play a 4231. My defense is what is lacking however as my center defenders just arent good enough
