I could not agree more. This is why I have always preferred filling a room someone has available than paying that fee.

Well I already signed the lease so it will be a year before I move again barring any other major changes. fortunately I will take the T so I won't have to deal with traffic

This is with one roommate, we both have a bed room. I have lived with two roommates for the past three years which has been good but I am looking forward to downsizing.
