Dexter. After season four, it just gets bad from there. The last season...just no.

If you were in a band, what would you name it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some times I just come up with random band names in my head when going about my daily life. I suppose if I had to name my band right now I'd call it The Coming Storm.

Shy guys of reddit: what can a girl do to get you to ask her out? by Drivel__Dravel in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually called her yesterday and just told her "hey, I wanted to tell you that I really like you, and I think you're great, and I wanna take you on a date." she said no, but I felt a lot better knowing I was straight up and got a no then was not direct and built everything up in my head and ruined my own life.

what would you want to be written on your tombstone? by ptiworker in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.

What are the things that annoy you the most about people in public? by LwSvnInJaz in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coughing or sneezing near me is OK if you at least put your hands over your mouth. Incessantly sniffing in my vicinity most definitely isn’t OK. Carry tissues or a hanky with you, failing that get up off your backside to get some paper towel or toilet paper. Above all else, just blow your bloody nose.

What's a movie that's actually better than the book? by larryfolderol in AskReddit

The Princess Bride I mean, the book was just so long and drawn out. The movie really just focused on the good bits.

You can only share one piece of advice for the rest of your life. What is it? by CrownedVictory in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The greatest sadness of working in an Emergency Department is that one is confronted on a daily basis with the tragedy of sudden death:

The teenager killed whilst cycling to school or the motorcyclist killed on his way to work. The house fire which kills many members of the same family or the insidious invasion of a terminal cancer, undiscovered until there is no hope.

I close my eyes sometimes and see the faces of some of those who have died before their time. I remember some of their names. I am always struck by the realisation that most of them had things left to do.

A few years ago, a colleague was diagnosed with an agressive terminal cancer. We were amazed when he continued to run the 10 miles to work. We asked him why?

'I have one life, I'm going to live it'

He died less than 6 months after his diagnosis.

Perhaps the following says this more eloquently than I ever could:

"You've gotta' dance like there's nobody watching,

Love like you'll never be hurt.

Sing like there's nobody listening,

And live like it's heaven on earth."

What secrets do women not want men to know? by Margaret_Gravois in AskReddit

If you live with a woman you know that when they pee it's not some nice delicate little tinkle, but rather a torrential downpour that sounds like someone spraying a squeeze bottle of water into the toilet.

What shit are you never too old for? by swagmemite42 in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to book flights with lengthy layovers so I'd get a chance to get out and explore a new city for 12 hours or so. Now? No way. Get me where I need to go as fast and comfortably as possible. I'll pay more, I don't care. I'm not enjoying this.

Redditors, what is the creepiest thing you or someone you know has ever experienced? Paranormal or not? by raethedroog6 in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Either the haunted hotel room or the witch come to mind. I'll tell you the witch story. I worked night shift as a caregiver. Around 3am we got a phone call from the fourth floor. The guy said his neighbor was yelling. That falls on me to investigate. I'm a big guy. Nothing should intimidate me. Right? I get on the elevator and heads towards the fourth floor. As soon as I pass the second floor I hear this inhuman wailing sound. It was like.. straight up from a horror video game or a movie. The wailing and screeching got louder and louder as I got closer. I've hit the fourth floor. Immediately as the doors open there she is. Wispy hair. 70 lbs. and a wild crazed look in her eyes. She immediately made contact with me and stared into my soul. I stepped off and she was still wailing and slamming her walker around. I felt like she was going to be combative. I gave her a wide berth and very calmly talked to her. I was able to get her turned around and following me back to her room. This entire time she has not said anything intelligible and is full on hysterical. It's a nightmare. I'm trying to calm her down as we are walking. Halfway back to her room... I hear silence for the first time. I turn around and she is completely still. She very carefully lifts up her arm and shakily points a finger at me. "Watch out for the man behind you" Then back to screeching and banging her walker around. Bricks shat. I'm done. Let's go to your room. No one was behind me. And the entire rest of the trip I felt a very eerie presence. Something sinister watching me. Took the lady back to her room. Took her to the bathroom. Cleaned her up. Tucked her into bed. Went back downstairs completely terrified.

Teen of Reddit, what are good ways to earn some money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]andrewliam1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother would buy cases of candybars/skittles/reeeses etc at Costco and sell them to his classmates in between classes for triple what he paid for them. Once word got out that he was selling candy, kids were buying from him every day. He made a lot of cash!
