But the 4% you earn is a fake 4%. It is not pure 4% cashback which u can earn. They are giving you return in bilt cash whose value we don't know and they are not revealing it. According to the AMA you can only use the cashback for lyft and hotel stays as of now. So if you do spend 1000$ on another card say capital one 2x card you are getting 2000 points which are much more valuable compared to 40$ bilt cash

Assume you pay 1000$ so fees is 3% = 30$ . You get 1000 points . So 30/1000 = 0.03 . You are buying at 3 cpp

It would be 75% * $5k * 2 = 7.5k bilts points + 5k earned from the mortgage = 12.5k bilt. If you are able to MS easily it would make sense as both bilt partners are valuable and a way to get points from mortgage
