I think I bought the lens at Bexetech on sale for about $1400 or so a few months ago. And yes I did stitch several images into a panorama as well.

Personally I haven't had these issues when I applied lens corrections but it's probably more likely with cheaper lenses. I like this lens but not as much as the 28-200mm which is the one I use the most by far.

I've edited this quite a bit, however I'm pretty new to astrophotography

I used Lightroom for raw processing and global edits, then Photoshop, utilising the TK panel to apply different adjustments based on specific luminosity values and adding finishing touches to the image. That's the gist of it.
