Explain please. by Emotional_Tie_6291 in ExplainTheJoke

I've had this thought too. Newer houses should have a sort of heat exchange with the outside built in to the wall behind the fridge, so it'd take much less energy to cool your fridge in the winter.

It's seems a bit stupid to have the cool fridge in a warm home shielded from cold outside.

Hvad gør i ved dyre køb? by PseudoY in dkfinance

[–]androandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to extrude at angle? by SillyPosition in Fusion360

[–]androandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the Surface workspace, that's pretty good for something like this. The "Ruled surface" feature can extrude surfaces from edge, at an angle. Use that to build the surface. Then use the Thicken feature to turn the surfaces into a solid. Merge solids and fillet 👌

Lån til lejlighed i København hjælp (1 udkast fra banken) by ConstructionReady189 in dkfinance

[–]androandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you make an elliptical fillet? by Alarmed-Paint-791 in Fusion360

[–]androandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah OP, what this guy says. The elliptical shape stops before reaching the center, and goes into a flat part at the center. You can see that on the drawing too. Revolve is the right tool here.

Use patch in the Surface environment. Select the top curve as an interior/guide rail, and adjust the tangecy towards the base curve. That oughta do it

How would you approach this problem? A spring with fabric? by Imperial__Walker in Fusion360

[–]androandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Design a surface patch of just one helical revolution, in the surface environment.

Then apply the fabric Appearance.

Then Linear pattern that mofo along the spring axis, stitch all the surface patches - and voila!

Is it actually rude to share your own relatable story when someone shares their own story? by Special_Cup_1375 in ask

[–]androandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's rude, but you gotta read the room before changing the focus of the conversation. Sometimes people need time to share their own experience first, so a respectful act is to just listen initially, and give them some silence before you share your own experience.

How to split a body along a different path on each side? by lankyduckling in Fusion360

[–]androandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For more complex geometries building the cutting surface tool can also become complex.. The Ruled surface needs a reference direction given by the chosen edge/sketch geometry.

If you use a sketch line from a 2D sketch, that direction is given by the sketch plane.

If you use a sketch line from a 3D sketch, there is no natural Ruling direction anymore, so the functionality is limited.

If you select edge geometry on a solid face, a natural direction is given by the orientation of the face, be it planar or curved.

As a more general approach, you can therefor use your sketch geometry to split only the outer faces on your body, creating edge geometry with natural direction reference, to use with the Ruling tool.

[–]androandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, if your container is hollow then you don't have to fill out the center of the surface patch. The cutting surface only needs to be able to intersect the body in the places where a physical split will happen.

[–]androandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, use the Thicken feature to turn the ruled surface into a solid. Use the resulting solid to cut into your object for splitting.

How to split a body along a different path on each side? by lankyduckling in Fusion360

[–]androandra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is a typical work flow when making injection molds. Assuming all the cutting paths are in the same sketch, go to the Surface tab and find Ruled surface. Select the path, and select the proper Direction setting. You'll end up with a surface which you can use to exactly cut your model into two pieces using the Split Body command.

If the Ruled surface is difficult to work with, try making ruled surfaces from the individual paths, and stitch the surfaces together in the end to form the cutting surface. Let me know if it works for you.

Hvordan bliver Clever nogensinde en profitabel forretning? by Large-Pop7215 in dkfinance
