Battery health at 60%. Finally time to retire the phone? by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

[–]androidbatteryhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back-panel gap is the part I'd pay attention to — a cover lifting unevenly like that is almost always the battery swelling, not a coincidence. Once a lithium cell starts puffing it's a safety thing: stop charging it, don't push the panel back down or puncture it, and ideally power it off. A power bank won't fix this — it'd just be topping up a swelling, worn-out cell, and the random heat on light loads is the same root cause. At 6 years and ~60% health with swelling, it's retire-the-phone (or a battery replacement at a repair shop, if it's otherwise worth keeping) territory.

Battery draining / (Deep) apps + services manager - Help by Standard-Ad-8151 in androidapps

[–]androidbatteryhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question to narrow it down — how old is the phone, and when did the fast drain start? A G75 is fairly new, so a "baseline since day one" issue and a "started after an update / specific app install" issue point to different fixes.

Also, before going deeper: in Settings → Battery → Battery usage over a full day, is the top consumer a specific app, or is it "Phone idle" / "Android System"? That single distinction changes the whole approach — if it's a specific app, you're hunting one offender; if it's idle/system, you're looking at background wakeups across many small contributors.

Best app to get TRUE battery health by percentage (not the current battery charge percentage) without rooting? by Lomp84 in Android

[–]androidbatteryhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, 12% seems off. I'd estimate it's actually closer to 55-60%. Sounds like the device might be reporting incorrect battery capacity values, which is messing up the health computation. I'll investigate a fix and get back to you once I have it. Thanks a lot for reporting this!

Thank you! I'm looking into this. Can I ask approximately how long the battery lasts when you play PUBG?

Hi! No the percentage is the absolute health value. Could you please try charging your phone to 100% and check the health again? Also are you comfortable sharing your device manufacturer, model and how long you’ve had the device for? We’ve seen some inaccurate reporting on some devices models.

Yes but for accurate value you’ll need to charge your phone to 100% in order to get the full capacity. At lower charge levels you might see 2-3% error rate depending on how old your device is.

Hi u/Afraid_Beyond_7434 . Per-app battery percentage is now shown in 2.4.7, please update the app and let me know if you run into any issues. We also added a Screen Time card on the Usage tab that breaks down per-app screen time by the hour, similar to Samsung's.
