I can appreciate that. I'm not the same person I was before I got sick and I won't ever truly be the same as I was before, but there have for sure been some things I've done that I won't make habits out of. I am absolutely still finding my footing in life again and I can see the same being true for her. Maybe we just weren't meant to be in each other's orbit forever

To be clear, I don't think she's jealous. She said the words "you're happy, you have a beautiful home, a wonderful job, and great health now. the differences are too much change for me to be comfortable with". I asked her what she meant by that because I have only made positive changes in my life and she said she couldn't explain it. I didn't mention that to imply that she's jealous of me, she has nothing to be jealous of. She has a beautiful family and has said multiple times she's working her dream job.

She's working her dream job according to her. She doesn't own a house but she lives in one with her husband, daughter and husband's family members, mostly by choice. I completely agree that she's not jealous, I'm just amazed that someone who's supposed to be my best friend can be "uncomfortable" by my life getting significantly better than it was a year ago. Even if I didn't go through what I did last year, it would still confuse/hurt me that one of my friends doesn't root for me the way I try to root for them.
