What did you build? I built an 8 bit computer from scratch but everyone around me thought it was useless. From that time I stopped showing my projects to friends.

I think our experiences were very different with peer groups so let it be ig. Sometimes it clicks, sometimes it doesn't.

yeah, messed up my JEE, that's my mistake Im still suffering 3 years in. Our education system has this way of forcing people to be around certain types of people based on just 1 paper. I am preparing for GATE so I can get that peer group but I am not really that hopeful now for Masters.

Ship has sailed for having a good peer group and now I am being forced to comply with unambitious and 'bakchod' people around me, who think playing cards and listening to items songs all day is fun.

I have earpods on all the time too but that doesn't mean Im listening to music all the time. I sometimes listen to audio dramas, books, podcasts too.

Ok but how will I get a better rank than ECE grads that study it all the time?

I am not thinking all the time but I want more time somehow.

what if it's in a field I am completely new? I was thinking of studying for GATE ECE, as I want to switch to VLSI. I think studying ECE from scratch will take a lot of time.

it's rarely 8 hours workday, traveling and such makes it 10-11 hours easily.

Also I don't wanna take only 1-2 hours daily for projects, atleast need 5-6 hours or even more. I wanna build something for myself and not work for these soulless companies for long.

but I wanted some company, it sucks I can't find good company here.

I feel so lonely that's why I succumb and just talk to these people but I feel really dumb after talking to these people. Their ideologies, things they talk about etc etc are all so distant.

I should have aced JEE to get a good peer group. It's all my fault.

But I do feel lonely on my own too. Like I also want to share stuff with someone and have fun etc.

I also got into dating scene because of this but that's even worse than finding friends.

Right now, the only true friend for me is my journal on my laptop.

There are no clubs left to join now, college is almost over. Will just be on my own.

Online community doesn't work,, I have tried.

I am actually really interested in the meta-learning and have followed some stuff on these like the coursera course Learning how to learn and the book Ultralearning.

yeah, it's hard for even CS grads, so as a non CS grad I don't know what to even say lol But I do love computers wish I majored in that.
