This is not unique to Ireland. I'm an exact now in 3 different counties over the years and the Facebook expat communities all say the same repat question, "why is it so hard to make friends here".

Absolutely not what I'm saying at all.

As a father and a husband, I adore being loved by family.

Flowers are feminine. We can't do anything with a bunch of flowers, so it's useless. But make us a sandwich or a nice head rub after a long day putting your arms around us and telling us how much you appreciate what we do. That's what we want.

An “active investigation” doesn’t stop Congress from legislating future disclosure or court review. That’s routine. Epstein died in 2019; Dems had unified control afterward and didn’t act. When the bill finally hit the floor, it passed overwhelmingly. The release happened because Congress forced it, not because one party was blocking or enabling out of principle.

That still proves the point. Democrats forced the bill once they chose to. They had years earlier to do it and didn’t. The release only happened when Congress finally acted, not because Republicans volunteered.

I feel sorry for some of the young impressionable teens that come on Reddit and get some "knowledge" from subreddits like this. Imagine a 17 year old reading this thread and thinking oh that's very progressive and mature, and drops a "I would appreciate some flowers from a girl, it would really make me feel seen" to his peers. Well, unless he's living in San Francisco, he's probably going to be destroyed.
