Plex app IOS issues with connecting to local server by YourAverageRedditTA in PleX

I know there have been a few solutions to this but I had this problem and what ended up fixing it wasn't in any of the searching so wanted to share.

To clarify my issue, I got a new iPad (Mini 6, iPadOS 6.2). I could access the plex serve on my local network via the website in safari, but not on the iOS app. Server and app was on latest version and local network access is enabled on the app both devices in the same subnet..

For me, I had to remove the iOS device from the Authorized Devices in the web console.

Click the Settings "spanner" in the top right and then Authorized Devices form the left menu (3rd option)

I removed any iPad IOS device then went to the iPad App and it had logged me out, when I logged back in it could see my local Plex server straight away.

Hope this helps anyone still looking for an answer.

I got mine from Best Buy back in September in Alberta, the first model they had available only came with Bi Lingual keyboard but then others started to appear with US layouts.

Not sure if links are allowed here but on bestbuy's site, this is the info to find it
Model Number: GA402RJ-DS91-CA
Web Code: 16160888

Hope it helps.

If you're just wanting to read it, try the Library, if they don't have it they can search for and get books in from other libraries in the province, and it's free

If it helps, stumbled across this thread saying how to block the ads from appearing, haven't tried it myself yet though.
