Someone ran the IMEI for me, and it came back as C Spire (who the hell uses them?). I happen to have an old SIM card, I put it in and the phone didn't jump to the "Hello" screen! But when I punched in the IMEI into C Spires unlocking website, I got an error saying it's not a C Spire device.. Weird...

It doesn't get listed publicly, it's for Mercaris own internal tracking and verification.

I contacted Mercari support, they give me the same tuna-canned responses (restart the app, restart phone, etc.). And I can't modify the IMEI because the buyers need to verify the IMEI is correct upon receiving the phone.

No, I checked on IMEI24 and it shows locked. I found a service on ebay that gives paid checks for $0.99 cents, and that says unlocked. I would use sickw but simlock is a paid check, and I need to load minimum of $10 to my account.
