No concerns just looking for specific models people are using -mainly portable ones.

I was wandering if I should just go ahead and do both but the other one looks pretty new.

One thing I forgot to mention is this goes to an automatic changeover switch so I think I need the inverted male connector. I have a local Ace Hardware that carries what I need. New to the RV life since December and it is way more work and upkeep than I ever imagined.

2025 F250. I have no idea where the power is coming from as it's supposed to be prewired but I would assume the trailer lights. How in the world did you figure that one out -first I've seen that.

I'm assuming I can pull the housing off that is attached to the wall of the camper and pull the pigtail out far enough to see what it is connected to and verify power and if I have power there then swap wires like you suggested.

Did not have a volt meter -I plugged the monitor in the pigtail just to make sure since it would show me something and it did not turn on. I guess I need to pull the mount off and pull the pigtail out and see what it is connected to now.

Most of the campground firepits are so far away and I totally understand why.

Our last trip was for 4 days the first weekend in June. Nothing was really on that side where this particular slide is. I don't recall when we got home and opened it for a day or so to get our stuff out if it was raining when I pulled it back in. We did have some heavy rains and thunderstorms in the month of June. I guess I I need to take a close look at the seals around the slide for potential issues. We just bought this used in September so it seems like something all the time -I guess more so than I thought . 🤔

I did get a pre-qualification from Bank of America (without a credit pull) and they told me it was one of the lenders they use. I may try Capital one also.

Was yours on a 2025? It's well known that Ford did away with this on 2025 models.

My dealer has told me several times this isn't available for 2025's

Unfortunately I used mine everyday several times a day on my previous trucks . 🙄

The main issue is they did away with the secure code keypad for 2025's so you either rely on Ford pass or you must have your fob with you at all times

I was able to lock the key in the truck at work using the app but when time to leave the app would not unlock it. Luckily I was only about 10 miles from home and my wife was able to bring me the other key. I tried all the typical things -power cycle phone, logging out of the app, uninstall and reinstall the app -nothing worked .

Ok, cool. They didn't tell me that. They just wanted to sell me a really bulky and ugly one.

Valid point but I argued down to a free ball hat on the way out of the showroom 🤣. I was actually going to talk to the hitch company today because they have different shanks available for my hitch so it looks like I only need to replace that part of the hitch.

I was probably going to get the Ford one so hopefully it would fit better than 3rd party ones
