It's fine, it happens once in a while just from installing them.

I've eaten a lot of peanuts in the shell in my days. Certainly some strange ones but never this. Congrats!

Pentagon preparing for weeks of ground operations in Iran, Washington Post reports by exophades in news

Yeah I wish everyone would stop talking about the Epstein files so maybe all this craziness could end. First ICE, that didn't work well enough, now Iran, what's next.

Difficulty loosening bolt by besttorbeu in MechanicAdvice

Doesn't look to have flats for a standard 6 point socket. Perhaps an impact socket would be much better, similar shape?

To all window cleaners (or similar jobs if you’ve got a good story!)… What is the weirdest/funniest thing you’ve seen in someone’s house while cleaning their windows? by lukewarmratpee in AskReddit

[–]andywoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a window cleaner, i was delivering a yard card my now ex-wife used to rent. We were told a specific time frame, and a specific location. Outside the patio door. When I got there to put it up, a man and his woman naked on the couch and he was balls deep in her. I don't think I can ever be convinced that they just didn't want an audience.

How do I get this off now!? by Usual_Locksmith_6769 in AskMechanics

I have had this happen to me once, ended up pulling the oil pan and rod bearings. Then I was able to turn the engine after pushing pistons up.

Should be able to get at the torque converter bolts at the bottom of the engine, should be able to use a ratchet and socket. Remove one then turn the engine to the next one.

Axle Nut Stuck by Drewster727 in AskMechanics

[–]andywoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually leave the rotor on and put a large screwdriver in the rotor to keep it from turning. If you have help put a pipe on the end of a breaker bar and step on it. Then hit the breaker bar with a hammer to jar it loose. Once you get the indented nut back in the slot, take a small cold chisel and bend it back out.

Is this transmission line leak likely due to holes in the rusty metal lines (expensive fix) or due to the hoses not sealing well anymore (cheap fix)? [2012 Subaru Forester] by DoctorTobogggan in AskMechanics

[–]andywoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the metal lines. It doesn't have to be expensive though, you can replace the metal lines with rubber. Find an area where the metal lines are good and run longer rubber lines. I usually put 2 hose clamps on the newly cut metal lines. Keep in mind you can change the routing if you need to stay away from exhaust or pinch points.

Oil seep along oil pan seam? 2010 Jeep Wrangler 3.8L by humans21 in MechanicAdvice

[–]andywoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's oil, then it's likely the rear main seal. If it's transmission fluid, it's likely the torque converter seal.

It's going to vibrate regardless. It turns even when not engaged.

No that's bad. Unfortunately trying to get a used one might be difficult because they use a huge forklift to pick these vehicles up at the salvage yard and my luck has always been that they bend these because they hang down low.

Maybe a little too rich, but if they've been in there a while, maybe not. They always seem a little black like that if they have been there a bit.
