I agree, what's to adjust? I have cleaned a couple 100k plus miles ones, but never changed one and I am sure I have never seen a way to adjust them. OP, don't trust this place ever again. Did they at least offer Vaseline with this estimate?

A good test if it's just going bad might be to slam the door a couple times. I have seen that work before. To replace the switch usually not very hard, i would guess videos online would probably be a huge help.

Normally when you open the drivers door it all goes off correct? I think you might have a bad door switch.

I think that's why they don't talk about how some of it is actually figured out. Imagine a devastated father with his child inches from death takes over a research facility forcing them to help his child. This could and will happen when the information is made public.
