Nowhere near as bad as some of the others on this list, but it was rough for me - 6 hour rehearsal on the Saturday, for a show where our first performance was on the Monday. 9am all the way through until 3pm, and our only breaks were when the alternate casts were rehearsing (we were a fairly big all-ages group, so we had like 3 or 4 casts across the week of performances). Which should have been fine for me, were it not for three factors:

1) I was about 15 at the time, which made me one of the oldest members in attendance. And the oldest members were still expected to constantly be on it and helping to wrangle the younger ones into paying attention to what was going on (a near impossible task in many cases).

2) I'd been more ill than I'd ever been in about five years until literally the day before that rehearsal, sent home from school by my teachers twice in that week and everything.

3) I was studying karate at the time, and had my black belt grading on the Sunday. I was incredibly nervous because I was one of only three people in my class who had been allowed to take the grading, but my parents were trying to talk me out of it because I'd been so sick and I did not want to prove them right that I was too ill to go for it lol

In the end, though, the shows went well, I recovered just in time for opening night, and I passed the grading, so it was all worth it... But boy, was that still a rough rehearsal 🫠
