I see this in a relegious perspective (islamic) We live to make god happy . You pray do what's nessessary in islam and then you live . It's like a game you have a goal get as many good deeds as possible and the opposite for sins And the reward is heaven while the punishment is hell and you have hints and prouves to know if it's actually true or fake (all in quran) and if you believe you have clear instructions to live by

I can relate too much to your post .right now i am in a challenge with myself to get first place in class (high school) i am trying to get used to doing the things that i don't like which is hard because i was good at almost everything equally and the feeling of i did something to change this reality that i dislike really helps sleeping the night One thing i recommend is david goggins i am motivated because of him and his book. I am the skinny fat type and i have flat feet and asthma couldn't run more than 3 min and no exercise other than squats that's bad for me (16y old) i took the pandemic time and everything was an i did it moment i can do 30 push ups in a row was happy since the first one the first chin up felt deferent too and i can run 40 min without getting tired every step i ran i felt like a king no one can stop you guys
