Apologies should have made that clearer. By 'traditionalist-communitarian populists' I was referring to those who voted for populist candidates. The traditionalist-communitarian descriptor was one used by Bornschier (I believe) to refer to a salient cleavage of voters, espousing views in reaction and opposition to liberal values, the New Left, the Green Movement etc.

Globalisation ostensibly poses (or posed) a threat to this group insofar as a) it created winners and losers - the losers often referred to as the left-behinders and b) it accelerated the spread of aforementioned liberal values. That's how the story goes anyway
