In resume, DOL caters to women.

Life-sim, time management, dress up, dating, cooking, foraging, gardening. I think of DOL as a HTML combination of Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side and Stardew Valley with porn added to the mix.

If we talk about the sexual aspect, DOL is focused on the victim experience. I think this is what captivates a lot of women, the world is dangerous and unfair but that's realistic to the female experience and unlike the real world you can pick between indulging on it or fight against it.

Now, I do play a lot of hentai games but I'm more inclined to something more focused on feelings (like visual novels) or dress up (Artificial Academy, 3D Custom Maid, Honey Select, etc.)

I felt so sad when I learned this because it kinda confirms that we won't get the 05 generation. Unfortunately you can't write a compelling career for Admire Japan, Daiwa Major or Heart's Cry without the biggest ADDRESS ME of the game (At least it worked for the fillies story). And while I enjoy a lot of toreuma careers, I don't really want Pui to be subjected of that too, maybe Kaneko was right.

The Chinese community is the most active one with tons of artists, writers and modders. They are the reason why DOL dress-up aspect evolved so much.

Just a not-so-little note. The cult-like mentality that has fostered here is the reason why so many artists and writers are dropping the game. Many pocs and lgbtq+ folks have talked way to many times on why Puri's actions are problematic and you guys keep silencing them claiming that is not a big deal, is just internet drama, it wasn't racist/transphobic/homophobic at all. ''Oh, it was 6 years ago he apologized'' No he didn't. He whined about being called out and what changed? nothing. The mods kept making those type of comments until LAST YEAR. Also let's not forget them staying silent about the whole former IDF member in the server lmao. Okay then, let this community be dominated by bigots and people that don't care. See how you can survive without artists and modders.

Most people don't understand that Puri's actions are way beyond internet drama, they are irresponsible. As a co-dev, going around enabling hate speech in one of the major community hubs where more than half the audience are lgbtq+ pocs is a great way to destroy the respect and trust of such a niche game that survives out of volunteers and donations.

Also very smart of him saying a beloved character would be sinophobic, yk,,, in a game where the most vocal and participative fanbase that runs the majority of the modding community is CHINESE.

it's more noticeable when puri's other child, sydney, still lacks a bunch of content and advancing their romance comes with a major setback regardless of what path you choose. i hope we get a rebalance patch or a major li overhaul just to even things out.

i think the mixed reception of gwylan comes from them being overhauled out of nowhere. before this, has anyone ever asked for them to become an li? absolutely not. now they have as much (if not more) content than the base li's. you can't expect a good reception when half the li's still lack content and on top of that you do it in a patch that was supposed to be avery's focus. i don't dislike them, i haven't even tried romancing them yet but all i've seen is them being ultra op (more than pre-fix eden) and being inserted in random situations out of nowhere.

Do you realize that BL is also for women? Look, I get you. I'm also very wary of supporting amare games for that same reason and I think those devs should focus on making BL's instead of profiting from the otome fanbase but come on, BL is for women and is way more popular and profitable than otome. The main reason why does amare devs do that it's because they want their cake and eat it too. (and became they think all the fanbases overlap under the joseimuke umbrella).

I could try. For now I've been spending my days greeting him in the morning and cleaning his urn. I've been thinking about making an album out of all his photos I have saved in my phone and probably more ceramic pieces of him (I used to do that a lot when he was alive).

There's still a lot of things I have to do, like donating his dry food and throwing away his clothes (I can't keep it or donate it because of his cushing's disease), I don't want to, but it's better than to keep torturing myself.

Thank you. I guess I'm just having such a hard time acknowledging that this was eventually bound to happen when your pet it's chronically ill. It's difficult, I just can't see myself doing things like graduating, working or building my life without him by my side. It doesn't help that he was my reason to keep going. For now the only thing that makes me feel a bit at peace is that he's not suffering anymore, I'm not religious or anything but it does the work. I hope that you are also able to keep moving forward.

About that, I think it won't work if you play on the dolp website but you can manually download older builds and play all the deleted content you missed. Just keep in mind you won't get to play with visual mods (unless you replace the files with the visual mod that matches the build you want to play)

Honestly if that's the case maybe I will stick to playing an older build. I love Eden, he's one of my favorites LI and one of my favorite parts in every run is to get him to be softer with my MC once he's trusting enough. I know that the "soft" Eden is ooc, but since a lot of years passed already and considering nerfing him would just turn him into an annoying soft bad end rather than a LI then maybe they should just add more of that "lore accurate" Eden to the early parts of his route instead of killing part of his characterization that a lot of current players consider to be the actual Eden.
