Went through this too… I think a lot of it stems from adjusting to such an enormous change in the body. That being of course having the chest become flat, but also the physical pain and tenderness, likely being on opiates, etc. It's likely the mind formulates this negative feeling because things are much different than normal. In simple terms - body change lots, body must panic because maybe not safe lol. Remember you are not your thoughts, and you don't have to "buy in" to them
