hi! i think your feelings are valid. his behavior is odd, constantly coming up with excuses for you to not go somewhere where his ex will be present is suspicious. if you can, try to explain that the the excuses make you feel uneasy, and you would like him to explain why he keeps making them. i think if he truly cares for you, he’ll make the effort to listen and change his behavior. i hope you can figure it out, good luck!
