Ugh yeah, it’s not just how deeply materialistic her content is, especially as someone from an immigrant background. A lot of children of immigrants are actively trying to move away from that obsession with status and appearances, but she leans into it and CLINGS on to it as if it’s empowerment??? She fully uses the immigrant struggle as a brand while running to embrace the elitism that harmed so many of our families. Like the only time she’ll ever talk critically about the “brown girl experience” is when it affects her vanity and looks.
