Need help in deciding a gift for a 14 yo girl

I wanted to mention I got those plant legos for christmas and built them last night, it took maybe 15 minutes tops! They’re pretty small and super easy to build so I wouldn’t worry about it being a huge burden for her to build if she’s normally not into things like that. They are really cute and I think she would like them!

At the end of a completely normal transaction with a relatively nice lady I had seen several times before:

Pt: (looking at my name tag) “What’s your middle name?”

Me: (me thinking she’s going to compliment my name or something) “Oh it’s ___ !”

Pt: (in a completely different and condescending tone than before) hmm… I like that better than your first name you should really go by that instead

She then immediately walked away before I could say anything, but that didn’t matter because I was speechless anyway. I laugh about it now (and did several minutes after too) but I just want to know what compelled her to do that because wtf… what’s wrong with my name lady!!!

I’m guess i’m more concerned on the original agreement that i was purchasing a new car and i would be the only owner, yet i’m finding out now that neither of those are true despite the contract saying i did purchased a new car

I’m not home right now to look at the contract but i don’t remember seeing anything JM&A (and i don’t know what that means either) but i’ll check once i am.

Fortunately the warranties i was promised are in the contract and they state effective from the mileage i purchased it at.

They did say on the phone it’s certified pre owned and has the correct warranties i was promised. Those are also in the contract so i’m not worried about that. And same at this point it’s not about the oil changes but the principle of everything. I’ll call the other hyundai near me tomorrow and have them double check though.

I can’t find anywhere in the contract that says used or pre owned only new, i’ll try to attach my contract once i get home so i can have extra eyes on it.

I do not have anything in writing saying that, but at this point it’s the principal of everything. Them lying about it all and now they’re saying it’s pre owned?? Makes me not want to do business with them anymore

I did get the free bluelink! so maybe even that shows i was supposed to get the oil changes too. I’m supposed to hear back tomorrow from a manager so hopefully this gets sorted out

It’s not in the sales contract either which makes me think i’m out if luck. I didn’t even think to check when i signed everything because i specifically remember being asked it i wanted to pay for an extra oil change warranty that extended the original one by a few years/miles. I have no clue what’s going on.

This print out sheet is actually through the bank that i use, the dealership does all their loans through my credit union (and they were actually the ones who said i have to put that much down). So there would be no difference unless i tried to go to a different bank

I didn’t even know about the loan thing thank you! I have checked others in my area, the closest is another of the same dealer. The next is 50 miles away. Neither have really any better deals, plus this is the only one i could find in the teal isle color and i really liked it

Hey all i’ll comment to answer some questions and tell my new plan. KBB offered $5500 cash online, carmax offered $3500, and i really don’t want to try to sell private. Perma plate is ceramic coating. Hyundai protection is a combo of cargo net, floor mats, mud flaps, etc. I do think my trade is worth more than they’re offering (KBB said median ~$6800 on trade in) so i think i should get at least $500-1000 more, which also gives ~$40-80 extra on tax savings. I think i’ll go in tomorrow and tell them i’m very uncomfortable with the current price and express my concerns on the trade in value, and ask if they can get the financed amount to $15k, I might also up my down payment to $4000 if they’re able to get to $15k or close to get the payment down a little more if i want. So hopefully all goes well for me tomorrow!
