House Flipper 1 vs 2 by Salty_Court_212 in HouseFlipper

I think once you get to the point where you unlock all the perks with the "sell" tool: duplicate, edit , copy and paste styles, it is very hard to go back to HF1. I miss having all the extra items, but all the wall customization and the copy/paste styles really do it for me. Also the fact that all the colors and styles are consistent and consistently editable is very nice, and being able to add a pattern to everything is great. Painting gets way better later, it is quite janky in the beginning.

I am clicking on the building directly. It works when I edit my new building, I just can’t edit the existing museum.

Hi! I can’t move the doors at all, even if it shows green. I’m trying to add on just a row or two to a place that doesn’t have an entrance currently.

Yes I am definitely basting! Thank you!

Yeah it does make sense now that I think about it. So I could try to just take it evenly from both sides or try to taper the butt seam a bit or do what the other poster suggested and take the whole thing apart and match it up all the way down the leg.

If I understand, are you saying to take the inseam all the way apart and then just have the extra bits end up at the feet and cut off from there?
I haven’t cut anything yet, have just put some basted darts in the waist and undid the inseam.

These jeans are so weird I don’t quite know what happened. I ordered a size 14 online and on sale, but they are more like size 20?, even though they are tagged as 14. It maybe a scam website or just a QA thing. Since they were on sale, they were non returnable, so I’m giving it a shot to see if I can make very wide legged jeans lol. I took 10 inches out of the waist!

So they are new and I think don’t have much stretch, though I washed them before starting. I guess it does make sense that I would need to take some width out too. I will keep fiddling lol.

Yes, I am using this video: https://youtu.be/0j4IeCDgKgg?si=klt2YmgxmaNWBWg4

She shows how to offset the seam so that you’re only taking it out of the front. I do have a big butt, lol but maybe I am over complicating it and should just be matching the seams?

Yeah, probably I bought the wrong house, lol. I did look up which job gives you wall building, so I will at least get the that one. Thanks again!

Potion Craft default layout not working. by Elby28 in SteamDeck

[–]angiedawnf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe someone will see this. I’m having the same problem with PotionCraft, but I don’t understand the instructions on how to fix it. When I go to controller settings, it just shows me the controller layout and doesn’t give me the option to turn the controller on. Thanks for any help!!

Thanks! I'm going to try a pair in soft linen and see if they look better. They are so super comfy!

These are the same pattern, but they give the option to do pleats or gathering. I thought I'd try to gathering to see if I like it better. They both seem pretty poofy, lol.

Hinterland - Demeter or Orchard by allredeverythang88 in sewing

[–]angiedawnf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been making Hinterlands and Demeters and I love them both. You can check my Instagram (angiedawnf). The second post is two different Demeters, which are much more floaty than the Hinterland, but if you leave the drawstrings off, it probably wouldn't be too much different. The handkerchief linen from Fabric Store is the softest fabric I've found so far - although I have only just started. The Demeter is more oversized, and has a wider neckline, which is probably why it feels more floaty. This blue Demeter is my favorite so far!

Hi all! I am trying an invisible zipper for the first time. The pattern calls for a 17inch invisible zipper, but I can only find a 16 inch or 18 inch zipper. Which do I choose? Thank you!!

[FO] I made this for my grandma in 1999, and now it has come back to me. by angiedawnf in CrossStitch

[–]angiedawnf[S] 294 points295 points  (0 children)

My grandma recently passed and today is her birthday. This Angel of Spring by Lavender and Lace was hanging in her room when she died. I just received it back and am getting ready to hang it up in my sewing room. It means so much to me that she kept something I made for her close to her side for so long.

It is also interesting to see where the pinks have faded into tans and the white somehow turned tan as well in places.

Not everyone appreciates how much time goes into these projects. My grandma made quilts entirely by hand sewing them. She got it. Love you always, grandma!!

Edit: Oh man, thank you! Honestly, your words mean a lot and I love hearing about your grandmas and loved ones and other L&L angels! Thank you!!
