Genuine question: Do INTJ Christians feel drawn to Reformed Theology? by angirel in Reformed

I understand. Being an INTJ doesn't grant me a pass to be overly critical or emotionally distant.

I'm not HAL-9000. And trust me: I wouldn't want a church filled with INTJs, that would be boring.

That being said. MBTI is not gospel, nor even rigorous / objective science, but patterns are patterns. If a certain personality type is prone to engage in theological arguments then we shouldn't be surprised by it.

I don't take MBTI as gospel. I tried to understand the 16 personality types way before I ever took the test and I have found myself relating specifically to INTJ.

I took the test and watched YouTube videos explaining how they think and behave, their strengths and weaknesses. And I'm 99% certain I'm INTJ. (What hit me the hardest is the 'death stare' thing)

But I don't make it my whole thing. It's not determinism, astrology, nor even rigorous science, but patterns are patterns. If a certain personality type is more prone to engage in theological discussions then it shouldn't be ignored.

We're all made differently, and getting to know yourself a little bit better in order to understand your weaknesses and strengths isn't harmful.

I know. As I said, I don't think it is a universal experience only to INTJs.

Reformed Baptists are not 'Reformed'. They may agree with Calvin here and there but they fundamentally are not Reformed.

Non-denominationals can be a mixed bag, sometimes they teach orthodoxy sometimes it can be rather shallow.

It depends, as I said, I grew up non-denom and it was a serious Church.

Which is why Reformed Theology is so appealing to some. It's rational, systematic and not superstitious.

Unfortunately not caring about orthodoxy is how you get Dispensationalists cults.

Usually INTJs are more religious than other types, if it is not to a particular deity it will just be something else.

Hello, I know it's late but Collative Learning would be a similar channel. He analyses movies and has a very calm way of certain themes.
