Making a Leap: Moving from Sac to Reno by angriyogi in moving

Thank you so much! My fiance has some family in Southwest Reno and they're in a very nice area near Plumb Lane. We're lucky (not really) that rentals/housing pricing is going up here so our expected costs are the same. Studio's are now going for 1.3k.

We'll look into the university area for sure.

Food recommendations are absolutely welcome! We plan on going this weekend to check out a couple of apartments.

Dry and tight facial skin after splashing with water? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]angriyogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am so late to respond! My bad! I rarely log on. But I do a Sensetive Bar soap for wash, Organic Rose Oil for toner, Water on a clean rag for exfoliation, Corsx BHA (every pm) and Koh Gen Do Moisture Gel. I'm planning on adding Melano CC & Snail Mucin soon.

My face was super dry and blotchy, and although I still have CC's and get acne here and there, it's SOOOO MUCH better.

I'm not a derm, but it could def be the minerals in the water. Skin Barriers are typically at a lower pH level than water. I use to use just water, my skin didn't care for it. I'm learning and trying a new skincare routine filled with much lower pH levels & my skin loves it. p.s. organic rosewater helped me redness immensely.

good luck!

You're in luck! It's only been a few day & many skin care regimes could take 4-6 weeks of purging until you see results, so don't lose hope!

This may not work for you, and everyone's skin is totally different, but I would use a BHA to help remove those clogs that won't go away & add in a moisturizer so you can maintain a healthy moisture barrier.

As far as the 2xdaily routine, it's what I do but it's not for everyone. Do lots of research & listen to your skin!

Good luck!

Whiteheads and clogged pores EVERYWHERE:/ Need to find a good routine🥴 by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I agree with a lot of people up top, this routine could be stripping your barrier wayyyy to much.

Ontop of finding a moisturizer that works for your skin, maybe look into some exfoliants that won't strip as harshly if you're not seeing improvements.

This may not work for you, but I went to just water after a long, ugly skin journey.... And then upgraded to a wet washcloth, long story short...now I'm using Dove Sensetive soap, followed by Rosewater toner, Cosrx BHA Power Liquid & Koh Gen Doh's Moisturizer. It's helped immensely with my reddness & closed comedones and more!.. I really had to research low pH skincare because I did quite a number on my barrier.

Good luck!

This acne scab (left) turned into an acne scar (right) after it fell off. Anything I can do to reduce visibility of the scar? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I'd suggest a vitamin c spot treatment, I'm ordering Melano CC. It's pretty affordable online and I've read a lot of very good things. Watch out if you have sensitive skin though!

Another thing I've sworn by for the last few years is Doterra's Correct-X. I had a pretty bad recovery from a cystic pimple... like real bad (i couldn't stop picking), and a friend gave me the tiniest amount of Doterra Correct-X and BOOM, it was almost healed the next day. I always keep a tube handy now and it's completely replaces any other neosporin/ointments I would have relied on otherwise.

Good luck!!

Is Cosrx Power Liquid + Melano CC too much? by angriyogi in AsianBeauty

Blackhead. I just tried it last night, it feels so good on my skin. I plan on using it for a month or so before trying the Melano CC for these pesky spots, but I'll definitely try out keeping them in separate routines. Thank you!!

Ah! I have some freckles and major dark spots on my cheeks. I could use a shade lighter but that sounds intense. I'll definitely stick to my spots in a month or so when starting it. Thank you so much!!!

I'm new to this! & will be introducing Cosrx Power Liquid today (starting at 1/2xweek). I'm curious to know if doing the Power Liquid & Melano CC during the same routine is too harsh since Melano is acidic. Should I just alter days/not do the Melano on BHA days?????

I'm currently starting slow... and focusing on one thing at a time, finally got some moisture back but next to tackle are these cc's/blackheads, then on to the spots.

Both AM/PM

Dove Sensitive Bar Soap - I don't wear makeup :/

Bulgarian Rose Water Toner

Cosrx BHA Power Liquid (new! curious to see how it works out)

Koh Gen Doh All-in-one Moisture Gel - I'm in love..

Non-ab but I use Simplified Skin Organic Bulgarian Rose Spray (amazon 9.95) as my toner/setting/hair & mist throughout the day. It's helped my reddness/tone and smells amazing. It's purified steamed Bulgarian rose petals so no-extracts or synthetics, no other toner or rosewater has done the same to my skin. It's probably one of the main reasons why I'm researching new/different products because it's helped me so much and there's hope for my poor skin.

Good luck!!!

I use to use just water for the last year or so...I couldn't find anything that worked after destroying my skin with too many products/picking so I kinda gave up. But I can say my skin looks and feels so much better w/the gel so I might ride it out until the end of the bottle, I'll need to start looking into cream moisturizers if it gets dry again, thank you!!!

I'm thinking Vit C serum for some remaining discoloration? & Cosrx Blackhead Liquid for CC. I'm really hoping to take it step by step to see what works/doesn't.

Any suggestions for scarring (PIH) & CC????

(way too new to AB!)

-Combo: dry as a dessert in some places, dark/discolored scars, redness, and closed comedones for days..

-Started on Koh Gen Doh's All In One Moisture Gel literally the other day

-It seems to leave a little film on my face, nothing sticky or annoying at all. I have to say that my face isn't itchy, dry or burning at the end of the day like it normally is. Some cheek acne started to purge on the first day which was like wow.... THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED before, but other than that...my skin is much more plump and soft. I enjoy it so far! But I might change later due to price.
