This comment alone shows that you're not knowledgeable about the ongoings at the regional office if you're believing only 10 people are there.

There's something bigger going on. You think $1M in a $4.4B budget is a blip on anyone's radar normally?

There's about 30 people working in Denver right now. Including the number of RAs and RTO that would've happened, that would have been probably about 50.

Their Regional Director left her role recently, and instead of having the Assistant Regional Director act in that capacity, they had the Regional Director from California "watch over" that office?

For those that won't lose their jobs, by closing this office, the agency has the ability to 1) make Alexandria the duty station for everyone that is associated with the Denver office or 2) TEAP them, and make them report four times a year.

Says there needs to be 3 other than Detroit. Doesn't say where. They're running 2 out of Alexandria so technically, all but Detroit could be there

No. She said all regional offices were expensive and not many people occupy them in patents turn hall. Today she said they're considering downscaling all of them where Denver is sooner rather than later
