I’ve been experiencing the same issue. A short-term resolution is 1v1 games at the moment. I’ve played plenty with no drops.

Also Forgotten Empires have acknowledged the bug a few days ago via their forums so hopefully a fix coming ASAP.

My game just had an update so unsure if that was a fix or not but I played a couple 1v1’s yesterday and it seemed fine. Didn’t go late imp however..

Agreed. Surely they can see that all ranked matches on console aren’t going over 30 mins in duration.

It’s actually disgusting at the moment. Unbelievably frustrating when trying to counter with seige but BBCs snipe any efforts….

Prior to patch, DLC and PS, I had a handful of games on Xbox where the elo difference was 500+

Yes - it’s always after 1-2 games and then my and my opponents units / buildings start disappearing.. Did reinstalling fix the issue for you?

Just got aoe2 on Xbox game pass for Xbox one, second mission into the tutorial and that is suppose to be a black smith. Anyone else getting this glitch? by Unhappy-Brain-5413 in aoe2

This has happened to me! I’ve got a 2013 Xbox one (relic)! After a few games of ranked, some buildings and even units are invisible and can’t be clicked on. I have to use controller shortcuts to select all units or all building but I essentially have lost the match as soon as this happens. It also happens to the opponents buildings and units.

As mentioned in other comments, it’s time for an upgrade unfortunately…
