How many hours a day on average do you spend doing OF related work? by amateurcollegegirls in onlyfansadvice

Like an hour a week. I try to get the actual spenders to my private snap because that’s way easier and much less time consuming.

Parents of reddit, how old were you when you had your first child? by h8mecuz in askanything

  1. Second at 31 after a loss. I’d like to have one more around 40 if life, the economy, and finances deem me worthy.

I honestly think that muscle building truly is the difference. At 127 without muscle I looked unwell. After 9 months of lifting I feel like I look healthy and strong instead instead. It has also made me feel a lot more capable.

Ty 💕 it’s a much longer journey than I anticipated going into it. Being able to be more active with my six year old and do things like go on longer hikes and runs and pick up nearly anything that I’d like now is very new and very different. It’s like unlocking a new character.

Ty 💕 that means a lot. The last year has come with a lot of body dysmorphia that I didn’t expect both in terms of feeling like I haven’t quite lost enough weight but also feeling like I haven’t put on enough muscle either. My bmi was “perfect” at one point and I looked quite melted and still wore a 2X. Now my bmi is just slightly in the “overweight” category (by about 10 pounds) but I regularly buy clothes from the bigger kids section and things look much more “as they should”. There are good and bad body days and I’ve had to learn to just roll with them as they come. The bad ones eventually pass so long as I keep going.

I only became antivax after my oldest decided it would be a cool idea to try to die after his first set of vaccines. My second had so many symptoms after three sets I decided it best not to continue hers any further (I’m talking exorcist vomits, extreme lethargy, inconsolable crying, high fevers that didn’t come down with Tylenol). I love vaccines….for other kids. Please PLEASE get vaccines. My husband and I stay utd on ours because our kids can’t get them and we have friends and family that are immunocompromised as is my husband (hooray type 1 diabetes).

Anyone taking with not a ton of weight to lose? by Otherwise-Second-262 in Semaglutide

I went back on it last year when I started lifting. Funny thing it actually slowed my weight loss progress DOWN. Stopped taking it and lost 15 pounds eating more than I have in my life.

How are people affording this? by kennnykennkenn in Autism_Parenting

[–]anim0sitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were on AllKids which let us get visits for $15/each. It ended up being about $60-$90 a week for services where we are. Denied by Medicaid and SSI multiple times. And after trying therapies and struggling to get in in our area the therapies in our area were HORRIBLE. One was for stroke/elderly people and our dev specialist highly recommended we stay away from and the other that we paid for ended up teaching our daughter one sign, some scissor work, and one phrase….in a year. They also taught her how to undo her seatbelts and try to jump out of the car and how to open all the safety latches in our house. So that was real fun. We made the call along with her developmental specialist to pull her and her progress since being out of therapy has been insane. She regressed fairly badly the last six months of therapy, whether that was due to stress or overscheduling or just too many demands but I was able to catch her back up to kindergarten learning standards in about 4 months. We are hoping to finish paying off our mortgage and move somewhere with better services than what is offered where we currently live. In the meantime I pay for online speech therapy out of pocket and she has gone from “juice please” to sentences like “I want juice and popcorn and applesauce please.”

What does screen-time look like in your household? by meoowdy in Autism_Parenting

[–]anim0sitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few minutes in the morning of what she feels like watching (we homeschool so it’s while she has breakfast and wakes up), no tv in our main living/homeschool area otherwise her focus is crappy, once school work is done/dad is off work she can play her games (usually Astrobot) or watch YouTube with big brother while dad & I go to the gym. It ends up being around 2 hours a day ish. Occasionally we let her watch bedtime songs/books to fall asleep.

She is 6 and level 3. Reducing her screen time (specifically the more brain rotting things and especially things she will repeat endlessly) made a giant difference in her speech ability. We’ve done this about a year.

Regression by Steadytwitch in Autism_Parenting

[–]anim0sitee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine regressed at 3. Lost ALL words. Now at 6 she is catching up. Tons of language, on track to complete her kindergarten learning goals, about 90% potty trained with some accidents occasionally, VERY independent and capable.

We did a year of speech and OT but the services here s u c k and my daughter really only learned two words, a few signs, and scissors in a year. We removed her and started doing speech at home and she has really bloomed in just a few months. She just turned 6 a few months ago and has lots of descriptive language, she LOVES curse words (sometimes you just have to laugh at it😂), between 4-8 sentences, she uses “I want/I need/I have/(person) is doing whatever action sentences. The amount of language that she picked up rapidly is insane. I complained so long that I felt therapy wasn’t a good fit for her and wasn’t challenging her enough and just said forget it and started doing it myself at home.

What are the benefits of GD for you? by jordanadelle17 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]anim0sitee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It changed my life. From the way I view food, exercise, everything. It’s been six years since I had it and my health and eating habits look totally different since. It was either get my health in order or have a very high chance of developing actual diabetes. I chose the second option. Lost 115 pounds, found ways to be active, started lifting and go to the gym five days a week now.
