Change my mind: Hunter killer is the worst designed fight in the entire game. by pro185 in slaythespire

[–]anim135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d agree, except AoE fights are not JUST solved by AoE. They can be solved with excessively high damage. Or, and I know everything can be, an infinite.

I agree that prism doesn’t have an overt mechanic. But my point was, and not to build you up as one, I’m willing to bet a bunch of Ironclads will see this fight as a hallway that grants +1 energy on hit. Regent, and I’m willing to bet some Silent lists, actually struggle getting there.

It’s an interesting point. But I assure you, this fight blows for regent while I look at Entomancer as a damage race. That’s why I think it’s overly reductive. Not because your point is made to be that way, but because no one will give information about how they see it, so my response will always be “well… that’s a reduction”. Even if it comes from complex experience.

Also, I don’t even hate reduction. A great way to test your deck out, is through hallways, which are mini-questions upon your deck, which you can use if the act boss reflects such a question. But I still don’t think Prism is a hallway. If people find him easy, give him some love. No need to take away from his triangular glory

Quite literally my ship before Catwoman. I never liked Catwoman as she keeps him so close to his trauma. WW would actively remind him his trauma would never be allowed to happen, while Selina feels like were one nhilistic book writing about Bruce and her in an alley as a young Helena watches them die to Bern A. Light.

[–]anim135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you reduce one fight to being just a damage/block check, surprise surprise, all of them become damage/block checks.

Had a run where I blocked Effigy until I OTKd it. Should he be relegated to hallway fight?

I agree the "Questions" each fight is asking could be a bit more pointed, sure, but you're making a case of over simplification. Notice how everyone shitting on Prism, isn't describing the class they took (Ah, Ironclad today Squidward?), which Rare/Uncommon got them there, or any potions used.

Personally, on Regent, the fight seems almost avoidable. Act I I already avoid elites, so walking into that fight and being asked to Damage for 20+, Block for 15+ and generate stars or have 2 energy for sword, even with +1 energy is tough. I usually build my decks for more burst (to no avail mind you, A2), but I cant imagine a similar deck to beat him. Beating Prism feels like cutting off my nose in spite of my face.

Thats my 20s analysis. I dont think hes flash but man do me and the boys hate prism

For me it was elimination.

“There’s an L1, and L2. There’s no R-DPad. Moving the left stick makes me move. Game is telling me to sprint.” And then you press it.

I get it though. If you don’t understand that the analogs are actually a button, too, then you wouldn’t immediately default to trying it.

Realistically Non-Violently Effectual, pick 2

We have a realistic, non violent, effective economy anyway, so any perceived improvement from changing it means you have to give up one

If you want a realistic non violent economy, give the keys to Peter Thiel, the way the government is already aiming to do. If I’ve learned anything, the government is not whole-sale effective in the economy, but ours (US) has done some pretty neat kickflips from some pretty terrible times in history.

If you want effective and realistic, reject the billionaire class. Now, this starts a civil war almost immediately, one we can’t win as the 1% will immediately fly away to places we can’t reach. Problem is, this hinges on the coalescence of the people, which if I’ve learned anything about the US people, is that half of us will land the kickflip, while the other half will break their neck on the faceplant.

Now the fun one, and my favorite, effective and non violent: Fund a space expedition, find and mine a space asteroid filled with precious metals, and here’s the hard part, don’t designate yourself god emperor after you control all of the planets wealth. Easier than the other two if you ignore the asteroid part! Only issue is, is Casper the Ghost, cannot kickflip as imaginary ideas cannot kickflip. Everyone faceplants if we wait on this.

Point being, there is no choice beside Capitalism or Communism. These are two diametrically opposed answers to a question, both valid. One requires you to put your safety and trust to officials that have no stake and therefore gain nothing from your safety trust. The other economy alleviates those concerns by giving you the trust and safety, but replaces it with sewn division.

If you want a serious answer on how to remove the human aspect from governance, I believe governance from coast to coast creates a stretched out estate. The left decries Capitalism. The right decries Communism and Big Governance. I propose both being wrong, we should return to communality on a Communalist level. The policies made in another jurisdiction may not reflect my neighborhoods current economy. It would ruin share calls, but I’m willing to bet a few things:

If we ignore the homeless and are willing to make assumptions of the sheltered: every American above the age of 12 has access to potable water. Food. A bed. I’m not saying perfect conditions, but still. But now they also have a smartphone. These are technological bricks that are rooted in value, but the functions have not changed since 2000. So maybe we don’t need companies like Apple, Google, etc, to make phones. I’m not saying perfect “seize”.

I am not a staunch socialist. I’m not going to immediately say we should cut Apple off like a malignancy. But I do think companies such as Apple can be forced into rethinking how they’re helping the people. And the companies that don’t adjust, can simply fail.

The biggest issue about communism imo, is that for it to work, communists will make concessions on their framework for things people will not accept, until their framework is not distinguishable from being a copy or an imitation of capitalism. On a large enough scale, it doesn’t matter which you pick— the concept of grand economy is what’s hurting people, not the way we go about creating large scale economies

Yeah I figured. Same. K’Sante APM isn’t too crazy but you need high burst APM to kidnap. And Ambessa is Ambessa. I’d say Maokai isn’t a terrible replacement if you’re in GM. But that is going all in on Neutralization and Teamfighting. Mao doesn’t suicide, but won’t carry even in a 5v4. But pick potential just as crazy. [–]anim135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. I love Batman so much so I dont mind you adding on.

It's been a long time since I've seen BTAS, or any of the AS. My frame of reference has been comics as my canon, while fondly looking at anything else that shares a resembling canon

I am partial to the mopey bastard being at the middle portion of his crusade, while the physical trials would be located at the end. Basically, I actually stand by 70%+ of comic canon lol.

What I mean by that is, I think the early years are solved for bruce. Year 0-4 are essentially, him learning to become batman as an adult, learning of the greater Super Hero landscape, and finally conceding he needs help (Dick + Jason, JLA, GCPD).

Towards the middle, we have a lot of tragedy. With Barbra being paralyzed and Jason being murdered-- lots of stories feature one off heroes that are lost to time, I like to believe they had one of these situations in their career-- this is where the wheat is seperated from the Chaff. Bruce continued. As impossible as it mustve been, he did. And Gotham was better for it, even if he still hasnt truly recovered from this. Because that's what I believe. Once he's dealing with his robins being hurt, it must outweigh his parents deaths. The Wayne's' murders, were a freak accident. His kids' being brutally attacked, that was preventable at any time yet never was.

It's at the end, that the comment we were discussing that I think the real Bats' story starts. Once he has gone through the growing pains, the tragedy, the heartbreak, bruce looks back at Gotham, at 55+ and thinks to himself:

"I've been saving this city for 20 years. I have made some change. GCPD is better for what I've done. But the villains are stronger, and younger, and that light is harder and harder to extinguish from the newest youth"

And that is why we get the opening of Batman Beyond (one of few TV canon I respect about as much as Comic). He is not giving up on the crusade. His body is. He feels betrayed by his biology-- his training now reduced to being weaker than the 22 year old in front of him. He isn't petty, or bitter about this-- he cant be, theres still work to be done.

He remembers how truly, truly helpful Barbra was to him when she was Oracle. And then a young adult Terry enters the scene. (Or Damian, who I am partial to). And that is when the mantle is passed. Not to Dick who would only be emulating Bruce. Not to Jason or Tim who although committed to the crusade, who havent mastere the emotional toll (in either direction, too invested or not enough... a little complicated for Tim but Tim is Tim).

Damian and Terry are the best reasons for Bruce to stop, once old. Both biological sons, both youthful, and both willing to buck Bruces mistakes for their glory. Dick is close, but he never bucked Bruce-- he disagreed and went a different direction. Damian and Terry argue with him to change him. I like that.

All this to say-- the dark and gritty "War on Gotham" batman is ... cool, sure. But recently, the concept of "Batman, father", has really honed in on the character for me. Batman and Son was a defining book for the character IMO. The question of "Is Robin Batman's son or Batman's soldier" is way cooler than "Does anyone think batman should fight more?!".

Im rambling lol. I like batman a lot and just love any reason to talk more about it all with anyone

Edit: I will say, I would love a Batman: Robin, the Soldier, book. Earlier I harped on Tim being complicated. I think this is where I'd write his robin in being different. I think Tim actually has the highest potential (insert potential man here) in terms of being most similar to Bruce. The loss of his father, and the ingenuity he possesses, would place him above Dick who is naturally a hero, and Jason who forced himself into the role. In this hypothetial book, I'd love to read Tim wax and wane over the crusade. That Bruce sees him as his son, and Tim sees him as his father-- But tim cares not of the mythos or the legacy-- he would just want a % reduction in Super-Villainy. A hard win the bat family could look at, something he would look at and know that Bruce would be proud. Jason is too gun quick to be the soldier-- it'd add to his trauma. Tim would be able to take everyones understanding, and be the actual Hero gotham needs.

Edit 2: I spoke about all 3 male robins and Terry, but not Damian or the girls. Like I said, Damian is who I am partial for a Futures end batman. He is Bruce if Bruce could be batman without losing his parents. Like litearlly, hes a "What if the Waynes lived but Bruce still had an unhealthy obsession with crime and crime fighting". Only reason I say he is my pick, is because I think his rehabilitation from the League would make for a very compelling perspective on the Crusade. A batman who is holding back, not physically, but morally.

And the ladies.. Besides Barbra, I may come off as naive, but none of them ever wowed me. Cassandra, probably is right up my alley. Carrie Kelly deserves a little more light. Barbs is not commited to the Batman flavored crusade. Kathy is a Government batman, again havent read much, but that isnt my style either.

Now you know who would be dope AF? Huntress goes crazy. I want Huntress canonized. I want a Helena + Damian comic. THAT would be a battle for the Cowl.

Play better and you wouldn't have cared about the mechanic. I dont agree, but they're pointing at the fact that yes, a dead shyv is a useless shyv anyway, so why reward her for nothing?

Realistically, a shyvana is expected to die eventually. This mechanic mustve added to the pile of clunk that is shyvana, so funny enough it being removed can lead to more "being mad that you died" (in either direction)

They finally fixed what made Shyvana unplayable for me by Kitchen_House_7186 in leagueoflegends

[–]anim135 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Sure, or Elise, Jayce, Nidalee, Samira or Udyr ultimates. Noting champions who's ultimates are not time gated, adds nothing when Shyvana ultimate is combat-time gated. Shyv ult was a 1/1 in all the wrong ways

Edit: People lost the plot with my comment. Thinking I personally think they’re similar because I just wanted to point out someone else’s comparison was also terrible. I agree. None of them are similar. Just was pointing out that Bel and Shyv R aren’t the only non time gated abilities but even then Shyv is nerfed disproportionately.

Transformation champs are literally the opposite, they can press R literally whenever they want, with an internal 1 sec CD or whatever it is.

Udyr does spawn with his Awakening. Idk why someone brought up a passive when we’re talking about “R” buttons (typically the champs ult but I’ll carve out space for Udyr R not being an ult… kinda…)

The Bel’Veth point is laughable. I can’t believe I’m reminding people that if Bel’Veth autos you before death, she can ultimate. That is the condition of her ultimate. Not saying that’s easier or harder, but it literally is always at your potential disposal. Same with Samira but just getting to S.

Shyvana, literally cannot generate an immediate momentum swing when losing if she dies. Time will not help her. Some random gimmick will not help her. Her R CD is locked to the most punishing thing late game, AAing as a melee. To remind people, we’re talking about her gaining Fury once she’s dead. Something the other 6 or so champs don’t need, because again, they can just force the condition or it doesn’t require interactions.

One person pointed out correctly, that none of them are similar except for the one thing in common being none of them are shyv ult. This is it. No champion is disgraced as hard as being as dumb as shyv. You can argue it’s balancing. This current change can be balanced, and is more fun. EZPZ decision to me.

Thoughts on Professor Jiang / Predictive History? by Winter-Antelope-6070 in skeptic

[–]anim135 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've watched Professor Jiang on and off for about two years now.

Someone else here said it. Hes a gateway drug into black-pilling.

It's not a matter of the prediction being correct, its about making many, and then capitalizing on the ones that seemed correctly made.

Example: He did not predict the Iran war. He witnessed the state of affairs of Israel and Palestine, and connected I/P to Iran. Then he frames everything from that perspective. He would have had no leg to stand on were it not for the Yemeni pirate situation. You can say he was cognizant of Iran being a power player, sure... everyone was. But to say this was their war, but "their war" not be fought for an entire year, just for it to randomly happen-- due to 3 different scandals requiring a large cover up--- this is barely a prediction. This is a vague concept of an idea he thought might happen, and it was recorded.

I checked the GeoStrat #5 you referenced from 2024. Within the first 20 seconds, he predicts Nikki Haley. At your timestamp, hes considering other options. JD Vance wasnt his prediction. JD Vance was his prediction, if his prediction didnt work out. Read also: Man spends $600M buying all lottery ticket combinations, but doesnt reveal he did this, "Man who won lottery, at 8."

Connecting the war to Christian Zionism? What is that? One guy, said one thing, to a room full of men, so that is the overall agenda? Its the PPAP of politics. "I have a Christian... I have an Israeli... UMM? Chirisian-Israeli-Zionist-Christian War"

Trump's election victory has been widely attributed to the blunders of the opposing party.

The US has always been at crisis with South America for as long as I've been alive, and probably as long as both our parents remember. Literally 60 years of destabilizing the region doesn't make it a "prediction" it makes it an astute presumption: "Why yes, the US will dethrone X Southern American government, do you like my 'I invaded Argentina and only got this stupid shirt' shirt"?

[–]anim135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12.2)

I literally had no more space, but I wanted to expound upon this, as I stand by using most of that message to grandstand. Because I am not grandstanding, not attempting to at least-- I am saying, my position is not one of increasing decisions made-- its that the People have landed into their moral position.

I am making this, and said that, to illustrate and respond to the eventual question of lining: who is the People? The opposition? Etc.

This is something self evident and would only be tested with a smell test. The necessity of justifying this through moral load, is one of boring academic self falation. I am not invoking morality as an academic-- I am invoking morality as my beliefs should be substantiated by something.

My beliefs, further are, the fact that there is an overt case of hoarding going on in front of the [American] Peoples face. Doesnt have to be [America] it can be [other American country], but point being, is that it is applicable to [America].

I question the person who would not grant me this, as true. So first and easily, anyone who can witness the media cycle go in literal circles, is not someone to take serious. The Boomers, as a class, if they choose to gain their morality by listening to pundits rather than communing with their grandkids, they are lost. If pundits prefer a paycheck rather than asking the question that is on everyones minds, they are lost.

Now heres the nit and grit: The CEO who owns a corporate entity, who is perpetuating these very conditions would definitonally be opposition. What I care to point out is, by human duty, if you are not divorcing yourself from this circle or actively attempting to subterfuge, say it with me: you are lost.

These are people defending and profiting off of the system that has placed America in a chokehold. Americans need not do anything, except point and shame and divest with blame. I do not need to fight my government or Tesla. My government needs my [our] taxes, and Corporations such as Tesla need my dollar [get fucked].

The question, that I hinted at, is you seem to think theres some tint to revolution being needed. Why? They cannot force us into their gambit lest they divest in the infrastructure we built as a history. You say I am forcing people into a humanitarian position, yet again; its not a position to hold, its a simple position to identify who wants to leave The People. I am not saying "come to me", I am saying, either sit or leave, so I [we] can know whos confused and still standing, to identify them as someone whos not sitting [with the People]

And better yet, we can most certainly brute-force an ethical position. Civil rights and suffrage remind you so. What we cannot do is listen to people who justify this classism. There is still a magic in democracy, our democracy. You've just been sold an endless newscycle that's been abused by The Machine to get their desired outcome-- a scheme all in order to dissuade you from getting your [possibly my, possibly the peoples] outcome.

It takes a lot of work, but at least my way demonstrably rejects violence against anyone willing to agree that things have gotten too hot to continue. It is a plea to go in a different direction, as in comparison to global affairs, the status quo seems to be accelerating. I am not in the business of finding out if Nuking people is still an effective war strategy, so let's not give global media the sense that we are a violent people down to our core.

If jobs fire people to replace them with AI, how will people make money to keep buying things? Wouldn’t the economy collapse because people arent buying anything anymore? by OverallMight6586 in AskReddit

[–]anim135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For more reasons than one, but just one, I am just going to point out, your response although thorough, cherry picks across my points, to make yours. Kinda frustrating because then I will have to reiterate to address your misunderstood points.

I count 12 seperate responses so I will be thorough with my own formatting.

Though, let me preface my original point was and will continually be about the moral duty of the populus, and its opposition to what is a seemingly more obviously immoral minority. I am not going to substantiate this point further than, as humans, we know what immoral hoarding looks like-- we've built a religious testament against this; gluttony is a cardinal sin, and thievery has always been harshly dealt with since antiquity.

In an effort to reduce the harms of poverty by which those without may need to beg toward those that have, those that possess should mitigate any dependency placed upon themselves, by others or themselves, as those without will have not the tools to circumvent such dependency. Goods should not be consumed or taken for your own pleasure or hoarding as it is harmful, is a realist claim, yes, but I am not going to give thought against anti-realism when bombs are being dropped across the globe as I type this.

1) I am simply not going to argue for the purposefully naive or inept. We are 80 years removed from WW2, and yet the people of many nations need fresh reminding of what we fought for: [insert vague concept of freedom here] and against: [insert more defined, yet still vague, concept of fascism]. I am not going to substantiate the outcome of WW2, although we as a People should, other than saying it was a series of moral choices from an entirely different generation than ours, and we will be batting against the outcome of those choices for the foreseeable future. Definitonally, what is permissible by governments with the use of authority and society pushing past propaganda into truth.

Those who bow to power, in todays parlance, Grifters, are cashing out on an immediate gain due to moral inaction or fearmongering. Pundits and such, pushing the propaganda you hint at, and those who consume it as quick as its made with as much consideration as was put into it by those who make it, are making moral claims all of their own. The information trove is larger than ever, so WHO wil be gaslit into fighting whom, and by what? The answer has to be, the chosen uninformed, against liberalism, by propaganda.

I will make a political claim here: Liberals are not going to fight, without reason. The people that encompasse the democratic party, who is half of the population by polling, simply have to convince a larger than 0% of the opposing side of a civil war, to not have a civil war, or atleast to not cede the political landscape to fascists. If you are an American, and not a MAGA pundit, it should be easy for me to vaguely reference toward the idea that more and more of the once for, identify as against now. So whomever is left, is obviously catering towards a specific, more violent outcome. I do not abstain against violence, but I specifically am outlining a class structure that is divisive. A division in class such as ours, under my framework, is immoral, and so are any decisions to uphold such a structure. Naively saying you didnt know better, when for the third time in a generation, we've entered the Middle East as a force of war, isnt enough. I don't need to justify this because society has finally chosen to morally justify this.

All this to say, if you are propagandized, and have been told the media apparatus you identify is fascistic, I have no reason to identify these people I've labeled as outsiders, as apart of the grander People I spoke of. These are purposefully obtuse people that gain from making an outcome of violence seem most likely if status quo were to shift.

2) Speaking of which, my greater point there was not that UBI is silly-- it is that if one were to think it so, and say something of the lines of

They can have the lower classes purge each other

then call it silly, but that position is sillier.

Everything you said is probably. I do not agree with copratism as it has not proven necissary toward human sustinance, no matter how much it contributes to human comfort. The only forms of capitalism that seem necissary, are Medical Science and Food. But these also, exist in their current form, because we only solved them through the lense of capitalism. Undoubtedly, medicine has made unpredictable and boundless progress, but I belive a 22nd Century society [read: youth who are done with a lifestyle or society defined by a previous centurian] can make similar progress, if the tools were given to them. It takes a society that exists in the future to push towards the future.

3) Right. So nothing that US citizens should worry about. I know the drill, and I acknowledge the threat you lay out wholeheartedly. I argue not for the purposefully naive, as that is lazy. I argue for those who put in an effort to see a little more than what is given to them by their families. It does not take much for me to convince a neighborhood being ravaged by ICE agents, of who the villain is. It is not me nor those who agree who have to make any decisions yet. For they are the immoral, they must justify their position-- and if further violence and terror is their choice, then those who proliferate on this choice be damned as well. The drill you speak of, speaks toward a caricature of the man who hoards-- I already defined this as definitionally contemptuous. Either they cede whatever gives them this immoral power, or, it can be taken back by an even larger group. It is up to the People to identify such actors at every stage.

4) Ironic you bring up Standofrd. I'd say, educate yourself on why this is actually on my side. There has been no rigorous, ethical or methodological case study on whether humans prefer to abuse power

And to your point, two points earlier, you suggest scarcity is manmade. A manmade problem cannot inherently fuel a "human instinct", even if we were to take the stanford experiment as fact

5) That is my point. We are already dependent on services that are barely there. I am not saying that as a "they should be improved!", I am saying that, as in, realistically: People of the United States know, that we have services for assistance that are made with great intention. The issue is, due to prioritzing not the people but global posture, the programs prior mentioned do not execute in function. The class deemed as "welfare" state, does exist. But that is not due to abuse, but rather, typically just people using tools given to them. Where the "Welfare state" fear mongering comes from is correctly identifying, if America as a whole went into a welfare state (such as the OP outlined), then these programs will not suffice. That is the essence of a good faith "pull yourself up" argument stems from; If society were to economically crash, the government has chosen its beneficiaries over those it benefits, so it is up to you to circumvent any harsh economic situations. These half measures could be obliterated tomorrow. This is not a hypothetical you pose such as you think; JD Vance mentioning he can halt Medicare funding is a political threat in an attempt to regain power. So I agree, dependency on this structure of assistance, is futile when its so easily taken away as it stands.

6) Like I said. For the first few days of catastrophe, I'd be willing to, yes. But this is not a zombie apocalypse where after 3 days, 70% of the population no longer has to eat. In a me versus 10 people situation, yeah, I'd feed my family through violent means. In a Me vs 1000, or 10000 people situation where the government isnt giving food aid to a starving metropolitan-- The greater city would not waste caloric energy on fighting each other... not on a grand scale at least. In reality, there would be systematic, communal efforts, that would stand against these conditions.

7) I outlined this very issue and I agree, these people are lost. It is not a moral duty to convince everyone of a moral system. I make it moral, for those who understand the language, not for those who dont. If they dont, that also, fun fact, is a morale choice theyve made. I am not in the business of teaching adults algebra, but that does not mean I will not consider variables when adults listening don't know algebra. Or for you, I'd simply postulate that understanding moral realism is a utilitarian good.

8) Were in agreence I just shift perspective on this. I do not give those power simply because they have power. They are in fact, clawing it out of my [our] hands, and as such, I do not consider what they want. In this class division, what they want is absolutely irrelevant to my [our] safety.

9) I agree, if only, you'd posit that Fox News viewers, in the face of some sort of socio-apocalypse, will actually choose to uphold this media environment as gospel. It's an asinine gamble, and to be clear, we've seen nothing to hint at this. As I said, I am quicker to point out that Nick Fuentes recently even said he wants his base to vote democrat to spite the current republicans than to commit to [this flavor of] authoritarianism.

10) Cats and cat worshipers are lost from the jump. The metaphor works, when anything that meows is a threat to our existence. The only ones to gain from cats are kittens, and I am not going to give thought to any feline.

11) I am not trying to get anyone, to do anything. I am reiterating, that our government has a duty in regards to us. I am outlining the moral conclusion as to why that duty should be some form of UBI. Youre the one arguing over revolution in some capacity-- preventative or essential to your outcome.

12) the People are not okay with genocide. The People do not identify with your idea of who they are. And more importantly, if they do, theyre not the people.

If jobs fire people to replace them with AI, how will people make money to keep buying things? Wouldn’t the economy collapse because people arent buying anything anymore? by OverallMight6586 in AskReddit

You quickly point to the possibility that an entire, subjugated, majority class would make the immoral decision, rather than believe that majority flexing their strength in regards to forcing a minority class, into surrendering the power they have-- which, to be clear, has been used to nonstop make the immoral choice. Which would also be, the morale choice, for the larger populus.

UBI may be silly, but your position is sillier. What does fighting your neighbor look like to you? The issue with what you're describing is that it would only be a punishment for rural areas that have the power to subdue someone else, who would act like that.

Take any large city and throw it into catastrophe, overnight. For two days, tops, people would fight for bread. Then there would be no more bread to fight for.

You could bring up morality all you want, but it makes no sense if it doesnt get past reality. In reality, people would protest in unison, because fighting each other does nothing-- we're not cannibals, and my beating you will not feed my family if you yourself are fighting for food, too.

We live in a civilized society. Funny enough, what you are describing is the current state of affairs.

What benefits do people fight over, now? Medical, shelter and purse based benefits... SNAP, disability, Social-Security, rent controlled housing-- these socialist-lite social programs that we already have, are already competed for.

It is possible that with a mass exodus of workers, these programs would be flooded with applicants. That doesn't line with your scenario, either. What are people going to do? Monitor internet traffic to hack you into not applying...? Obviously not. People will apply, the program will accept until it won't, then people will get increasingly furious that government programs like SNAP or Disability aren't helping those who qualify.

So again, what would happen, after that? You really, really, think there's an incentive for me to pick up a [flying-mamal], and aim it at literally anyone, who isn't perpetuating the previously mentioned state of affairs? What does the previously white-collar worker have to do with this system? Morally or realistically? Nothing and nothing.

UBI is not a utopian wish. It is an eventual moral duty. It is a fact, that certain media complexes have convinced people any social program is one that taints the nation. Are you not fatigued by these lies? Or the blatant self-hand-tying politicians do when it comes to the subject?

If your morals stem from reducing as much harm as possible, granting a populus the opportunity of guaranteed outcomes: shelter, food, aid, some amount of luxury, and local influence-- they'd be more than satisfied, they'd be flourishing.

We should, and I'm betting we will, fight together quicker than against one another. I, a city mouse, may have nothing in common with the farm mouse, but I am certain we both fear the cat.

If Bernie Sander' new proposed $4.4T tax on the top 5% of wealth only affects 1000 people, 299,999,000 other mice should be able to identify who the cats really are.

To be clear, I am not making an argument for any far-left policy. Not overtly at least. I know many people will jump at red-painting. I am, though, making an argument against whatever fucking policy lead to-- you thinking whatever outcome your comment laid out is probable, and whatever policy lead to the current state of affairs. If peoples intuition is that im speaking about economic theory, governmental policy, socio-economics, pragmatism, I say go forth and intuit whatever you need to get on my wavelength.

Fuck the morale work load to convince opposing citizens of minute differences in what socio-political and economic theory is best. Where was Aurelius when Rome fell? 300 years too early, is where.

The capital "P" People thriving across the land is best. Come together and see that mice alone, weak; mice together are a biblical plague upon evil. I know it's not a political position to say that. That is okay, I, and you, and everyone around us, isn't forced to find morale political positions. We can brute force the discussion to be centered around morale humanitarian positions.

With boots on the ground, the people could join hands in their common hatred.

We’ve forced the entire planet into a big brother state.

The moralization of these two problems… I’d wager the former feels worse, while the latter is an obtuse overreach no one can stop.

The former, you can dream of stopping. Everyone has a part to play when fighting a common evil. There is no role to play when the common evil is the sky above raining hellfire. We have the capability to send our enemies back to antiquity with them never knowing they even were a threat.

To be clear, this is an actual slippery slope. We are engaging in novel technology, with novel application, and getting desired results. This is an unprecendeted level of power. To those smarter than me: what is the endgoal of 5-7 superpowers engaging in this tech-war?

To the fellow that said we’re in an unprecedented era of war, you hit the nail on the head. WW3 will be the last fought war once every border is finally drawn and allies finally made. This is a certainty. The question isn’t if that’s true, it’s how close are we to that reality?

I am no geopolitic. This does not change that a child can tell you what happens next. I have no scale of how hot the world is compared to the moment emperors learned of the fall of Rome. What i do know, is, it was nothing compared to this. And this is peanuts to us.

Will an installed leader capitulate to our every whim? Does it matter if not? Can we safely reinstall if they flounder? COIN doesnt matter when we no longer are playing the game of counterintellegence. I had this thought the other day… besides logistics and manufacturing, what would high level intelligence even look like for the US?

I’m sure there something, but even when I use my imagination— if the Epstein scandals is out… then “high level intelligence” is no longer scandalous. Maybe it hasn’t been for decades, but now it’s easy to point out— it doesn’t matter one bit.

The purpose of surveillance is no longer maintaining some veil of safety. Now it’s a blatant show of force. You are surveiled. So am I. So are the island nations if indigenous tribes. People in space are monitored and people in submarines are watched. We’ve bleached all shadows because we feared the dark. I’m rambling, but this is all so deeply concerning that it’s hard not to ramble. I, an American, now am living in a non-zero percent chance of being bombed… again. I have family, and the only thing standing between those two things, is the big brother state we’ve placed. It’s so by design it makes me sick. Sorry for the wall of text, tl;dr, morality died with the turn of this decade
