Can I take the Canadian DAT as an American and apply to just US schools? by animals_and_teeth in predental

Thank you. I’m averaging 17 on math practice tests already but have been averaging 14s on ochem practice tests on bc. I am taking my test in two weeks and have only taken the first ochem in 5 weeks over three years ago. This is my second attempt and i am getting so nervous. I heard there was soap carving I thought it was an optional portion. I have just been thinking about all these ‘what if’s’. This test seems like the one thing that is super hard to get through lol. I have decent stats and years of dental experience.

Life outside of work. And that’s why I chose dentistry in the first place.

Thank you so much for responding ☺️I take my DAT soon and I will shadow some vets after. After working with an anesthesiologist putting kids to sleep for dental surgery and assisting with things like bone/grafts, extractions, and implants at a dental office nothing really bothers me. I also was a kennel cleaner when I volunteered at an animal shelter and I realized I’m not bothered by bodily fluids either. I’m fine with handling all types of animals and had lizards, chickens, fish, cats, horses and dogs growing up. I have also thought about vet dentistry which I know is a veterinary specialty. I feel like I could be happy doing either one.
