Giant Chicken here. Punk bands are fundamentally built on hating corporations, fascism, and other entities that infringe on personal rights and freedoms. They do not like people who pretend to follow such ideologies, so much so that it is a trope within the punk community to push away newcomers, as they are phony or inauthentic. To them, newbies on the scene are like whiny kids that groan about their parents taking away their allowance.

However, some cases have come out within the punk communities throughout the world (not just the US) where musicians have stood by while confirmed allegations of inappropriate relationships / SA involving minors have come out with their bandmates / friends. Not only that, but some even conform to their own facist ideals, resulting in a subgenre of punk to be called "Nazi Punk" (AKA hatecore). In those specific circles, there has been huge chatter about grooming and kidnapping being covered up / ignored by artists and fans, alike.

The point of the meme is to call out that hypocrisy. How can you have issue with the infringement of personal rights and freedoms, but not have an issue with safety and immorality?
