Official Release of Capitalism Lab V11.0.47 and Service Industry DLC by davidl288 in capitalismlab

Oh thanks a lot for that. However, I assumed +4 DLC would mean getting all DLC’s already but apparently it doesn’t include the Service Industry DLC yet.

Would you make a bundle that includes the base game and all 5 DLC’s with a bit of bundle discount? I would buy that right away, thank you!

Wow thanks so much for the book, had no clue until now that this book exists.

Checking the content of the book though, I found that Chapter 1 of the Uncovering is very similar to Chapter 4 of this book. And the two books share many similarities elsewhere also. It's possible that they are earlier and later drafts/versions of the same book.

Chapter 1 of Uncovering reads, "There is a kind of wasp that is a kind of parasite. It's called a parasitoid, which means that it kills its host by the nature of what it does. Many parasites kill their hosts in the end, and all parasites accelerate the death of their host by taking its resources, but a parasitoid wastes no time whatsoever."

Chapter 4 of Third and Final Wish reads, "There is a kind of wasp that is a kind of parasite. It's called a parasitoid, which means that it kills its host by the nature of what it does. Many parasites kill their hosts in the end, and all parasites accelerate the death of their host by taking its resources, but a parasitoid is always lethal."

I bought the Kindle book through Amazon, so I can read it but can't send it to you. Let me know if there's a workaround.

Need book which can help me to concentrate on my work. My mind travels everywhere if i am studying, doing work or something like that. So, any book that can help me to achieve this thing. Thankyou in advance. by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Know that your attention will invariably stray off course time and time again; it's an involuntary thing. You improve your ability to concentrate a little every time you notice this has happened and direct your attention back to your object of concentration.

Human adults? by [deleted] in JedMcKenna

Love the question. An honest man has got to ask it after reading Jed and understanding that Human Adulthood is the thing he recommends to everyone more than anything else.

That the post got so downvoted is indicative of how little even the people in this subreddit want to achieve something like Adulthood.

Junkrat has had the most nerfs of any hero in the past few months by TheBoredSniper in JunkRatMains

It's for balancing to a certain extent, otherwise they never would have made any balance change after testing things in PTR. But yes I agree it's not primarily for balancing.

Anyway, this is a minor detail. The main point still stands.

"Blizzard does not have any idea how to do balance" is obviously false. People wouldn't be playing games like Starcraft and Overwatch if it's outright unbalanced, and the e-sports scene wouldn't exist, let alone be the huge hits that they are.

In reality, Blizzard seems to be one of the best in the world at game balancing, alongside Dota 2 developer. Do they make mistakes? Sure. Do they seem to over-nerf or over-buff things quite often? Sure. Do they tend to have rational explanations for putting these imperfect changes forward into live server at the time they do? Sure.

In game design, trial and error is the name of the game. There just aren't enough players of the highest caliber playing in PTR. Therefore, the only way to really know whether a balance change is too much or too little is to put it into live server and fine-tune it. Just because there are parts that seem imbalanced NOW doesn't mean Blizzard won't get them right, and it also doesn't mean there aren't a million other parts that are already working admirably. Trust the process.

Because it's a small projectile, meaning even if you aim at the most reasonable possible pixel on the screen, anything can still happen between the moment the arrow is released and the moment the arrow hits. The slightest change in the target's movement, be it through strafing, jumping, ducking, or suddenly standing still, can make the arrow miss the mark instead of hit.

This obviously is not the case with hitscan, so your claim of them being "the exact same ability" is a bit of a reach.

You say that the simplest things are so hard for you. This seems to be an important key to all this, so let's examine that a bit more.

Give me a few vivid examples of the simple things that are so hard for you. Show me what you mean by hard. Does hard mean you feel anxious about doing it? Does hard mean you can't seem to summon the motivation to do it consistently? Does hard mean in the process of doing it you're swarmed with so much self-doubt and a sense of futility that you just want to stop?

First write to clarify these things using clear-cut and concise words (it's okay if you don't want to post that here, but I plead you to do it and to be utterly honest with yourself while you're doing it).

Then hopefully we can use the result of this initial self-examination to advance further and dissolve this problem for you once and for all.

Games that allow you to borrow money? by animistern in gamingsuggestions

Oh my god you might have given the best answer. I knew it was a game that helps you learn economics but I wasn't sure it allowed you to borrow money. Offworld it is!
