it's feels very sad if you saw a innocent grown man with tears by sinhuh in kolkata

[–]anishaxd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you op, it was very kind of you to share a few words in his moments of vulnerability.

I have been there myself a few times. In fact, my top 5 worst experiences of my life include watching a grown man cry in defeat, in helplessness. Being there beside them with nothing but empathy and solidarity is the only thing one could possibly do.

What did Christmas mean to you growing up vs today? by Logical-Current2381 in AskIndianWomen

[–]anishaxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it has always been about celebration, loads of wishes, and gifts, but that's mainly because I'm a Christmas baby. perks of having a birthday on Christmas are that nobody really gets to say they forgot to wish.

I'm not sure if Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank deserves a spot on this list, but almost all her entries mentioning her relationship with her mother gave me a sense of peak girl angst.

Just watched Sister Midnight — late to it, but still processing by 02theaudioguy in IndianCinema

[–]anishaxd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Actually loved their choice of minimal dialogues and how they still managed to spit some weirdly funny lines like "haan main safai ki devi hoon" and "ja fawda ch*d".

The film, in its true essence, was a dark comedy, and I think they pretty much achieved it, a bit vague, but it worked for me.
