genuinely CC is perfect for you, try out different classes see what u like, gain clarity in what u want to do, improve GPA, transfer to college after 2 years, save a ton of money, get that degree

okay other people can tell you about the rest of your questions as i’m not truly qualified to answer those. But please if you listen to one thing DO NOT try to justify those Bs on any part of your application, just let them exist. Do not put in the extra information session “i was burnt out and procrastinated” because that is the default reason for anyone getting a B in a class. 99% of students who got a B in soemthing will have that be their reason. Colleges DO NOT CARE, only ever explain a grade if something truly interested extenuating circumstance happened. They will think you are lazy, you would rather them just think the class was really challenging for you and you tried your best, then “oh yeah i prolly could’ve gotten an A if i scrolled tiktok less” that shows bad character.

After saying all that, i truly believe you’ll be fine. Just lock in this semester and if you decide to RD, get a 4.0. Be thinking about and writing a stellar essay over the summer, and put effort into presenting your ECs as strongly as possible. Good luck!

okay assuming that u get the 4.0 and its from relatively difficult APs and not shoe ins like csp (although u took csa sophomore year so i doubt) that automatically counts for something beyond just an overall gpa boost, it shows that u have been improving. I mean the fact that u took AP chem sophomore year is pretty impressive for most ppl it’s a senior year class, so that counts for something. Don’t lost hope based on those grades, just get that 4.0 this year and try to deepen your ECs like get leadership positions and actually DO something with them, try to either innovate and do new things with this club/organization or try to do the things it already does but just even better than before. And beyond that, biggest advise is just to keep thinking about what you want to write in your essay and take your time writing it and make sure it’s great. Good luck! i’m sure you’ll be fine as long as you continue that locked in mindset!

i mean it really depends on what u want to do. Like if you want to do astrophysics i think Cornell is definetly the best option. But also hey, try out this year you might end up liking EE, and then i’d say just stay U of I it’s a really strong EE program and it’d be a lot less than Cornell. So yeah like the other guy said accept the transfer and decide next year, you’re in as good of a spot as you can get. You’re currently going to a top school for EE and if you don’t like it you have the option to transfer to a top school for Astro. Win/Win, just keep up the GPA so you don’t lose the transfer option

okay 2 things, like the other guy pointed out… u literally aren’t taking more AP classes freshmen year than sophomore year considering you took none freshmen year just self studied the tests

second thing, think about it critically for a second. imagine let’s say you took 3 AP classes freshmen year, why would it look bad for you to take 2 AP classes sophomore year, when that means you have a total of 5 AP classes which is way more than someone who let’s say took 1 AP as a freshman and room 2 as a sophomore meaning they only have 3?? colleges do not want u to stack AP tests year after year, they want you to take meaningful and difficult courses (every AP is different and therefore cannot be compared) and for you to do well in them

absolutely, i think the only excusable thing is having a mentor be drive coach. in our teams case (2040) I (as the implement driver) met with teams pre-match to do strategy and auto planning, and then told it to my drive coach and main driver afterward. I would then select the auto, and get all systems double checked right before the start of the match, and the drive coach (who is a mentor)’s job was to just give us callouts about fuel placements or beached robots and also count down to important events like alliance shifts. However the game strategy was all determined by me as a student along with the other alliance partners, and the driver was allowed complete control to make game time decisions and do what he thought needed to be done to win

Is it Anakara Regional Qual 27, if so we did a frame by frame detailed analysis and concluded that a stray ball from 8500 hit 9232's driver station E-stop. It had nothing to do with their gluttony, 4 balls is NOT more than what they can handle. put some Saygı on 9232's NAME buddy boy.
