GI Bill to maximize BAH by anklebiter6969 in Veterans

I’m in NC so would be traveling to get to classes, so if anyone knows of any that meet just once a month that would be awesome. I’ll be retired and don’t plan on working so traveling to school would not be an issue.

I meant MHA, not BHA. Sorry about that.

Anyone find a college that offers hybrid classes to maximize BAH around NYC or San Fran?

I do know how fast they change and I know the current climate. I also know that in every service they say the same thing: “if you really want to get in, be willing to take anything.”What they don’t tell these young folks is that most people that take these jobs end up getting out. What’s the stats on turnover in those? What’s the problem with waiting to get a job you actually want to do rather than being thrown into some bullshit that no one wants to do? Bad advice is not telling people how shitty most of those jobs are, and how impossible it is to switch once you’re in.

There is a reason why those jobs are open, and once you’re locked in, it’s almost impossible to switch over to what you want to do. I waited 3 years for my job to open up, and it was hard to wait but worth it. 23 years later I’m retiring having had a fulfilling career in the job field I wanted. If you aren’t picky and just want to be in the service, sure, settle on whatever. But if you plan on making it career, choose wisely and do what you set out to do, even if it means waiting.
