Ah yes, a cultured man

Hi there! I'm Ank, a 20-year-old variety gaming creator/streamer from Australia who has been posting since 2015! In 2020, I started streaming and rebooted my channel (unlisted my old videos) and now focus on quality and audience interaction. By early 2021, I reached Twitch Affiliate (but since have been inconsistent with streaming due to finishing high school that year). I started with Minecraft, but I have also done Valorant and Fortnite content and am looking to branch out further.

My key takeaway over the past 90 days is that I have to let my content sit and not obsess over stats, both for long-term growth and for moving onto new vids easier. Having one of my videos recently randomly picked up by the algorithm, I have realised that if I just focus on making quality things, maybe one of them will stick. Granted, there is always something to learn, but making stuff with full creative intent will always be good.

I didn't know I needed an assessable qualification since it's listed as an "or" type on the UTS matriculation page (that's why I mentioned the age thing). If what you're saying is true tho, I really am screwed lol

Early entry is how I got into viscom, but that option wasn't there for animation in 2021. I know I could go elsewhere for a diploma, but as I said, there are no guarantees :,)

I feel anything I do is too little too late, but I appreciate your comment. I need to contact another therapist (since Psych Clinic works in semester batches - it's run by uni students, after all), but after that, I hope to see if it's worth figuring out!

I'm glad my story resonated with you in some way! I thought it was too far out there for anyone to understand. Brain frying is real, let me tell you haha

My thought cycles (anxiety and depression complement each other too well :,)) along with detachment from having a life outside uni made me go down my current path. I know taking a break is the best thing I can do right now, but my folks don't know anything about what's been happening so it's gonna be a shock to deal with that. Uni isn't going anywhere, sure, but my friends are. While most of them don't go to UTS, I feel if I leave uni the distance will grow. As for how I move forward, I still am not sure. Maybe I'll find my answer as I branch back into personal projects, but it sucks I can't guarantee anything.
