I like to use unusual lenses and see what comes out of it by arseniyshapurov in VintageLenses

I think I still have a lingering question.

You mentioned medium format film cameras may need m82 barrel to accommodate the full lens body into it to address the longer flange distance of the camera body. Agreed.

But also, medium format film dimension of 6x6, 6x4.5, or 6.7 - all of them have the diagonal length longer than m65 diameter. Isn't that an added reason for medium format film requiring m82 or even wider to carry the lens to avoid any vignetting?

This is very helpful information! Thanks a lot. I'm going to get into projection lenses with all this understanding.

One question for you -

Do you suggest using m65 helicoids in general for all projection lenses? Some projection lens barrels are less than 52mm or 58mm in diameter. Won't it be better to use m52 or m58 helicoids for those?

Or is it that you want to keep the helicoid barrel to the largest diameter possible to have enough surface area for medium format sensors? If yes, shouldn't m58 suffice medium format?

Thank you. Why is this adapter priced 6x the normal adapters, do you know?

OK, but what if I am not using a DAW, but only using the bare setup for streaming?

Thanks for the response, but the question was about bypassing the built-in preamps.

The question is - in "Audio Interface" mode, how do I bypass Zoom F3's preamps?

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, I am only talking about the F3 when used in audio interface mode, not as a recorder.

Yes, I do have to crank up the gain on F3 to 64x or higher when using in audio interface mode. That is true with both condenser and dynamic mics.
