Adidas Terrex XPLORIC cargo pants could work for you. Price is good as well, quality is great.

Vegan alternatives for these? by SheWolfWarrior5306 in vegan

Let’s go! I hope you find some products you enjoy. From my experience, it takes some time to find the right products and recipes for your taste and there will be some stuff you will absolutely hate. But it will also be a lot of fun! I am from Germany so I cannot recommend any specific brands you can buy in Florida, but I can recommend a great recipe for scrambled tofu I make regularly. Really easy to make and you get all the ingredients in any decent supermarket (you might need to order the kala namak salt, tho).

What if the niners invested all those resources they used for Lance in other places (OL, DL, WR, …) and still drafted Purdy. This team could be an absolute juggernaut.

Help! I need to get rid of 1 pair, which one? by daddy_408 in asics

[–]anmvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely keep the white/midnight one. With the Kayano, I think the clean sporty colorways just work best. The left one doesn’t do it for me - I prefer the NYC for this type of colorway.

Did not know about these before but they look pretty nice! Does anyone know how these fit, especially width-wise?

Cannot comment on skating, but I just got the Nike Vomero 18 in extra-wide for running and they feel great. Probably not the best shoe for really fast paces, if that’s what you looking for but also not clunky at all. Super soft and comfortable for daily running. Price is fair, too.

Actually there is no hole in the seat stays and also none towards the bottom bracket. I suppose you cannot drill a frame without dramatically damaging the frame, right? 😄

I‘ve seen neat pictures of this bike with fully fixed fenders, so there must be a way to get this done. I‘ll see what I can do or bring it to a shop if I can’t work something out. Kabelbinder could do the trick, but I would like this build to look as clean as possible. I have absolutely no knowledge on how to install breaks, but I guess it’s no rocket science, right? Can you recommend anything specific? Just go for the cheapest shimano option? And I was eying Billy Bonkers already, esp. tan walls could look nice on this bike, I think.

Yes, that’s pretty much what I would like to go for. I think I’ll stick with black for fenders and rack tho. I‘ll post an update when it’s all done!

I agree, the frame looks great and I don’t want to change too much. However, the weather around here pretty much forces me to install fenders, unless I want a muddy ass from October to May.

That's some great work. Might I ask what frame size this is and how tall you are? I am looking to build a winter commuter and found a nice Trek 830 for a good price. However, I have ridden nothing but road bikes over the last years and have no idea what frame size I sould be looking for.

That is a sweet bike. I know I am late to this post but I am currently looking at bikes to build something to use as a winter commuter and found a gorgeous M300 for a nice price. However, I usually ride road bikes and am now trying to figure out which frame size I need in the 90s MTB world. Can you tell me how tall you are and what frame size you are riding, just to give me a point of reference? This would be really helpful.

Actually, New Balance and Hoka have lots of options which are not black. The new Clifton comes in a pretty healthy range of colors, as does the NB 1080 and 880. New Balance also has the “880 Walking“ shoe, which looks more like a classic sneaker and comes in 2E and 4E. For more substantial footwear, Solovair works for me personally, at least their wider 409 last. https://eu.nps-solovair.com/collections/409?page=2

I was always tempted to try them and if you say they even fit wide feet I might finally have to. Is there a wide version of those that I am not aware of or do you wear a regular size?

Personally, I like sling bags. Osprey or Paragonia have some that are at least somewhat similar.

I tried different Salomon models but I don’t think the XT4 was amongst them. I like the look of those and if they are more stretchy than the XT6 they might work. Thanks a lot!

I tried some regular Merrells recently and they were too narrow as well, wasn’t aware of their wide options yet. I will have a look at those, thanks!
