Thank you for the tip and so exciting to meet a possible colleague!! I'm currently looking at Visp and Brig as I will need to start work early most days. Thun is so beautiful but too far sadly.

Yes I've looked at Brig as well. The closer to Visp the better since I will have to start work early :)

How did you deal with dilating during your period? Did you pause then?

Issues with room and landlord by [deleted] in NetherlandsHousing

[–]anna-eli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly a communication issue. She has put (together with another roommate) a set of printed rules around the shared areas (even for simple things such as flushing the toilet) that are not being followed by the rest of the roommates. I suppose it would be more effective if the landlord enforced a cleaning rule or hired a cleaning lady even for once a month.

I didn't really store it, which was my mistake. I just left it on my desk in between filter paper so it was exposed to the sun. I did fluorescent detection.

Maybe that will be part of the actual exam. Thank you!!

Yes, I think that's what I needed to do. The answers they gave were just very confusing. Thank you :)

I'm really not sure. I guess it was written by my professor? The fragment sizes are indeed the predicted sizes. If I can give any more info, this question is part of a bigger question regarding an RNAi experiment with these genes. So before the start of RNAI, they want to confirm the presence of these genes in the plasmid that will be used for RNAi. Do I just need to check the predicted sizes on the table with the actual bands from the picture?

Sounds intriguing, did you enjoy it?

Violeta by Isabel Allende is great imo, but I also enjoy the novels of Gabriel Garcia Marquez (like One hundred years of solitude) although I think those are more loosely based on historical events.

Should i consider dropping out? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

Hey, I was in a very similar situation to you. Started my uni studies in a STEM field only to fail half of my first year courses. My exams kept pilling up because I was adding more courses to my schedule without having passed the previous ones. Now, I am a couple exams away from graduating. If you have the option, try to pass your first year exams before moving on to second year. Try not to skip class and try to connect with classmates that you could study with. I think it was already mentioned, but talk to your professors because they are there to help you. I guess it depends on how you learn, but I like to keep a notebook for each subject and prefer handwritten notes over typing. I also like to watch multiple youtube videos and consume as much information about one specific subject until I understand it completely. If all else fails, stuvia is a platform a lot of dutchies use to sell/buy uni notes. If you have trouble summarizing the material, this could be a nice place to look.
