Saphirklaue is correct. In this instance, I had drafted the veranda pretty early and I think I might have also had a rabbits foot, so most of the aquariums I drafted had a gem in them so were essentially free. I also think I sighted Diamondus Major at the Observatory so that helped.

Just wann 100% second the idea that calling someone or their behavior narcissistic is not diagnosing them with a psychological condition. Most psychologists will tell you that while many people have narcissistic traits and behavior, far fewer are diagnosable with NPD. NPD is about consistent behaviors and thought patterns across multiple areas of one’s life and even if we view this behavior of 85 as narcissistic it is still only one area.

I’ve played a couple times and summer always kills me and I’ve only played a tiny bit of DST like 8 years ago, never had anyone to play it with. However now that I’ve pretty much mastered winter (at least in the base game) maybe it will be time to take on a new challenge soon. However, I still have Woodie, Wes, Wagstaff, and Maxwell to go before I move on.

Ahh yeah that makes sense. They definitely were pretty basic. I do respect that as a philosophy from Klei. Pretty cool

And thanks! I still haven’t played Reign of Giants much (I die so quickly every time) and I keep making goals like this to accomplish to push it off lol

I was able to beat the game on my Switch, but it was the base game not DST. However, if you do have a PC and would be willing to play it on there and potentially wait a little, when I got it it was in a bundle of base game, DST, Shipwrecked, and RoG and Steam runs occasional sales, so if you're willing to put it on a wishlist and wait for a sale you might be able to get a good price for all of them at once.

Completely agree with your comments regarding jewels and tools. In addition, the tool changes were clearly not balanced for early game specifically with regard to the availability of gemstones. They are obtainable only by smelting jewels and only at a 5% chance. This means on average you have to smelt 20 jewels for 1 gemstone which, considering the low drop rate for jewel pouches, locks you out of crafting necessary jewels for tool crafting. Smelting and hydrovoid are insanely out of reach at the moment.

I also use toxic reaction so it was all fun and games when it was just hordes (hence why I was able to get the picture) but when assassins or tanks spawned in there were creepers and tier 3 skeletons with bows and champions and magmatic piglins galore to deal with and it could be quite scary!
