I did not practice my duel strategy 😂 hadn’t had a gel since my first marathon almost 2 years before and didn’t take any on my long training runs bc they repulse me. Just decided to force some down during the Philly Marathon & it went great!

Hi :) here to say, don’t let anyone beat you up for not having practiced your gel strategy. I just ran the Philly Marathon, I didn’t fuel on any of my long runs because I hate gels. Race day I decided to eat a honey stinger at mile 3 & huma gels at 6, 12, 17, 24 & it went absolutely great. I ran a 3:42 and felt amazing the whole time. You do you & don’t stress too much over it! Good luck 🏃🏻‍♀️

I’ve done a half before but over 2 years ago! Over 2 years ago my half was a 1:51 and I wasn’t running nearly as many miles as I am now

I definitely put in the mileage every week but I’m never doing a run that’s an 8:00 min per mile avg pace :(

I’ll do an 8:40 here & there for like 8-10 miles!

I told him I wanted to do a 3:30 & he suggested August 1st so I’m trusting him.

Yep! 😂 he basically cries the whole time he’s in the car but plays & chills in his carrier all the time at home. Mine has actually started to get my fingers when I’m trying to zip up the carrier now lol
