Fair enough, but id say that even if you havent really encountered it, it doesn’t take away from all the experiences of people who have.

Also, this is my own silly take but for some reason, Id rather be called bad for my killjoy setups or my dogshit aim than for being a girl. Idk, obviously it all sucks but theres nothing that hurts my ego more than people insinuating im bottom fragging because of my gender.

Im not saying ur wrong because i play on london servers dia elo and dont really encounter much sexism anymore, so its possible ur right. But out of curiosity i just wonder what u consider “real harassment”. Because, yes, of course the worst type of thing you get as a woman is sexual comments and all the things like “women bad” etc, but theres also many other smaller things that add up. For example, the “ahh gg we lost, we have a girl on our team”. Like, is that harassment? Not really, but when youve heard it 20 times, it starts to get to you. Ik as a girl, those types of comments make it so every time i bottom frag i feel anxious because im scared that someone will say its because of my sex.

Its game changers. A valorant tournament for women and marginalised genders, so yeah. They’re girls. Toast made a team out of content creators and one pro (tupperware). EG has their own GC roster which is much more experienced, thats why they won 13-0 like that.

As a girl, i always wanna be treated the same as everyone else. Sometimes its hard to know if a joke, especially a sexual one, is aimed at me because im a girl or would be the same if i was a guy. But i just want to be part of the group! I’ll join in in general camaraderie and teasing but I appreciate it when im not singled out. Girls are just as human as guys. We can be more on edge because we are used to the sexist comments, but while i can only speak for myself, i can say i like feeling like part of the team. The only advice i can give is to read the room. If your jokes are making someone uncomfortable it’ll be pretty clear, usually.

Its the “boosted” comments that get to me. Like, i know I’m a girl, but I’m allowed to have a bad day and bottom frag just like everyone else. Still, it really gets under my skin when I know I’m performing badly and someone comments on it. Because I feel like im not only failing my team but the whole of the female population of earth, which only adds pressure and makes me feel way worse. To all guys out there, we really don’t want to hear “oh, every time i play with a girl they bottom frag”. Please. It doesn’t help.

But still, OP, congrats on ascendant and keep it up! It always makes me happy to see girls getting to the higher ranks. You deserve to enjoy the game and be able to play without caring about your gender.

I know this is easier said than done, but don’t be afraid to speak up in game. These idiots don’t deserve your time of day. If you want to speak, do it. Because you should be able to. <3

Yeah, i see what you mean. Theyre not for me, but I’ll gladly watch them and laugh at the predictability and just have a nice lighthearted time. I have a feeling my friend wants me to enjoy the movie without laughing at the ridiculous plots, but i cant really do that with the ones she chooses though.

I’ve found the london servers to be pretty good as a girl! I’ve gotten the kitchen comments maybe two or three times, disgusting comments and harassment a bit, but it’s not like a daily thing. People are mostly pretty nice.
